I don't know if it's a good news for linux gamers, but it's a good news for video game imo. It's always better that game developping studios are not owned by big publishers. Being independant means for room for creativity.

VP is actually the team who often gets the best performances with their ports, whether they use a wrapper or not. Arma 3 performs as good as the windows version. Bioshock Infinite performs the same as windows version. Dirt Showdown also performed pretty good. There was some problem with witcher 2 and saint row 2 ports, but the rest I think is pretty good.

Thx for sharing. It's pretty interesting. The both team managed to get better perf, while still being at the beginning of mastering this Technology. It seems to be a very sophisticated API, so it's all good for the future of gaming. Looking forward to the next games and port using it.

It's already the second most popular game on Feral Interactive shop^^
I own the game already, so I will buy extension to support them, also I don't really have the time to play total war games. Anyway the little I played from it, I really enjoyed. Thanks again feral it also seems to run well with modest hardware and it's one of the great games on PC that I think everyone should have at least in its library. It gives an interesting insight of the changes and tension in Japan after Onin war and the atmosphere and combats are great.
After DE:MD, Hitman and Dirt Rally we hope for another big port, and Dawn of War 3 is definitively one of them, also I hope for a good modern multiplayer fps (like BF1, RSS or Quake Champions(even at 60€ :p) or a good rpg like witcher 3 :p or also platformer/arcade like NieR automata or the last Tomb Raider. Anyway thanks a lot feral to keep up with this incredible year of 2016 for us linux gamers, and I hope you can continue to treat us so well for 2017.

Quake Champions is not self Vulkanized , it is DX11. Also it is a F2P title , so how can you expect to Feral make money on that?It will be using doom's vulkan engine part, so it must be opengl at the moment. And I'm pretty sure linux community would buy the full game as a support if Feral was doing the port. Zenimax has dropped support on linux in quake 3 and quake live, but we need at least one quake game on linux, as it use to be the rule under Carmack era. I'm pretty sure it would be easily doable as doom without denuvo can run as fast as windows.
Before that , we need Doom on Linux natively.

Having one of the best total war on linux, if not the best(with fall of samurai) is not a problem, I don't see why people complaining.
btw: The studio working on quake champions is called saber interactive, any chance feral interactive could contact this other studio for some feline party?^^

The G29 and its FFB works pretty well, you just have to put it on PS3 mode, as in PS4 is sometimes cease to work after quiting the game, and reboot does not always fix the problem. It can also happen that the G29 will be aligned badly, so I suggest to always go in custom event to check if everything works fine before trying online event or to go career mode.
If the wheel is not aligned correctly, you have to close the game, and then unplug and replug it and check if it works. If not you have to repeat the same operation.
Otherwise the FFB just works as good as on windows imo. It is slightly more precise on PS4 mode, but it can buggy. Otherwise it's similar to FFB on windows 7, and even better than on windows 10.
