Quoting: Xpander
Quoting: koyal13I recently update on Arch to this version... but I found a lot of games where appear freezes, bad renders and some suddenly "black textures". All are old problems that we have seen in the past, but I'm discovering on games like Grid Autosport, Mad Max and many of my best games (right now I cant try Deus).
Very bad update for me...
no issues..

i had mentioned games freezing with earlier version but it turned out to be problem on ck kernel which was 4.8.3.
latest ck kernel doesnt have that problem. stock kernel is also fine
What version Ubuntu are you using?
I played for a few days Deus Ex Mankind Divided and had a lot of crashes during gameplay on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

If steamOS doesn't work or can't be completely known as a distribution because is still in beta phase there's always an alternative, for example Ubuntu 16.04 LTS I had installed it this week on my SSD Kingston 500GB.And works great with the intel and Nvidia proprietary Drivers and of course talking from my actual experience.
PC specifications:
32 GB Ram Hyper X Fury DDR3
CPU i7-4790 3,6 GHz
GPU: MSI GTX 970 4GD5T OC 4GB GDDR5
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5

'Super Rad Raygun' might be the retro action game you need, now on Linux

It's great to see so much Native Linux games made to work on All Linux distribution(ubuntu, fedora, etc)
I've started this week installing ubuntu 16.04 LTS from scratch and it's proprietary Drivers intel & Nvidia GTX 970, so far works great on my desktop PC
