Armello, the really fun fairy-tale digital board game had a huge upgrade

Maybe one day GOG will change policy but on their community stream they have been real clear about that multiple times , what made the all thing fell through is that no matter what LoG proposed to GOG they just didn't wanted any game with in app purchases on their store ...

Quoting: EhvisNo really you don't understand here the game is more and more as it evolves turning into a game as a service type of deal and it's not just new characters it's cosmetics and shit . And well GOG just isn't game for anything remotely containing in app purchases . Which Armello does contain.Quoting: ixnariI respectfully disagree. This situation in particular had less to do with following strict DRM free guidelines and more to do with the developers, League of Geeks, using bait and switch tactics and not being transparent with their customers.I don't really know all the details for this particular game as it doesn't really interest me. But the general problem is still a real one. Many DLCs from multiplayer games are essentially just an authentication code because all the content is already included in the base game. If a store is not willing to sell these authentication code dlcs, then the only alternative is to remove the content from the base game and with that the ability to play with it against non-dlc owners. Anything after that is bound to be bad for owners. Although technically DRM, I don't think these DLC should be counted as such as long as they can be installed and used offline (even though the game may be useless offline).

Well the game is probably good can't tell the game relies on various libraries that it doesn't ship with and that aren't anywhere to be found in Ubuntu's repos...

The puzzles and the solo campaign idea is what the game was sorely lacking.
Not in and of themselves but in terms of diversity of play , of palate cleanser between rounds of getting your ass kicked online.

Valve's card game Artifact seems to be dying off and fairly quickly too

Faeria almost died out of not putting out card expansions quick enough. The harsh truth is that with CCG you need to be able to shit out a new card set at least every semester to stay relevant. And every semester that's if every set is real chunky.
To make matters worse WotC have finally made a digital version of Magic that actually works and actually is fun to play this time around. So artifact is competing against not hearthstone but against the progenitor of modern day CCG's itself ...

Quoting: XpanderFree to play is the only option for this to be saved i guess. I have few friends who say that they would like to try it if it was free, but not willing to pay and then pay for extra stuff.Even as a free to play it's not gonna stick around for long if continues to have such a low card count.

Personnaly I bought the game but I'm waiting to see if the game will receive any extensions of cards if at all.
Because right now the card pool is fairly limited and things gets boring real quick.

The game designers have a very very strange conception of what is supposedly too hard to understand in fighting games but hey at least once you get in their headspace a little you can pull of some satisfying things on the game.
I just wish the move list would be a bit more varied than this ...
Also I will avoid playing against Liam online if he is an Agargag main ..

Can't really say I'm surprised ...
After seeing how much of a train wreck Mighty Number 9 was , and given that those two teams are made of the same root I deduced that Bloodstained would meet a similar moment where something would go awry .
