Canonical planning to drop 32bit support with Ubuntu 19.10 onwards

I guess because we can still download the older versions of Ubuntu they don't exactly care much and think that we will just throw an older Ubuntu in a VM in order to play those "old games" ...

Dropping 32 bit altogether in one go is a bit dumb ...
They should work with Valve in maintaining the few libs that were used by our games in the past ...

Her previous attempt the game did work but there was an audio glitch she couldn't fix glad to see that she still tried to take another crack at making a linux version and that it panned out .

EDIT : just download it the game works and audio works this time around but the game won't go into windowed mode even after editing the prefs file in the unity 3D folder ...

Thanks for the review @Liam

Quoting: GuestBack in the days, i liked the Higurashi anime that came from a visual novel. Some here seem to believe they are some sort of medium reserved to softcore porn.
Again Valve doesn't screen the visual novel genre in a consistent way and most of the stuff that does drop on Linux is erotic stories if not straight up anime porn. Especially when you're a linux user , oh the garbage does get ported alright the good quality writing ? Not so much ...

By the way Liam I hope you don't mind me using your article to start a thread on ERA .

( I posted in the heat of the moment and maybe you ddidn't wanted to see your article featured in that kind of conversation but really this news highlights a problem that Valve is having lately )

Quoting: GuestI tried blocking the visual novel tag on Steam, must I now try this on GOL? :|
Other than GOG being Linux hostile, visual novels are absolute shite. Hope they paid enough to make the shame bearable.
So, uh, apropos of nothing, your handle's "hateball" huh?
To be fair I'm a fan of visual novels as a genre especially when they feature queer characters .

But I have to admit that the sheer volume of VN that are just a bunch of "anime tiddies" just for the hell of it that pander to straight dudes who just want/need to rub one out with little to no substance is overwhelming sometimes.

You have no idea how trying to wade through the "horndog stuff" just to get to the type of Visual Novels / Dating Sims you're actually in the market for is a major pain in the ass on steam . While on itch finding LGBTQ themed ones is waaaay easier and is actually more the norm than the exception .

So I don't blame people who aren't into visual novels for place the tag in the ignore list .

Valve release a new stable Steam Client from all the recent Beta builds, nice fixes for Linux

Quoting: liamdaweprefer Steam Runtime's libcurl over yours which fixes "Risk of Rain" and other GameMaker titles
I wonder if it also fixed Devil Daggers on 18.04 because if I remember correctly it's because the libcurl version was different that it didn't work anymore .

Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, the (currently) free DLC is out, but not for Linux yet
10 Jun 2019 at 6:26 pm UTC

I doubt we will see the DLC ported to Linux , and same for Borderlands 3 we just heard nothing from either Gearbox or Aspyr about it sooo I guess they won't be makin' it anytime soon ...

GOG are revamping GOG Galaxy, to help you manage multiple launchers and still no Linux support

Are we really still expecting GOG to release Galaxy on Linux at this point ?
I mean seriously ?

Competitive tile-matching game Magical Prisma seems sweet, free during the Beta

Just gave it a try and with a PS4 controller the buttons are really oddly distributed other than that the game works well and responds well .
Thanks for highlighting this game liam . I am a sucker for good puzzle games .

Easy Anti-Cheat is actually still supported for Linux, a statement from Epic Games

Thanks for the update Liam and
Quoting: Creak@liamdawe The mere fact that you apologize for "jumping the gun" is a proof to me that you want to build a transparent and honest community, and I praise you for that. Indeed you now have way more influence than a few years back, so now you need to be careful with that new responsibility ;)

Keep up the good work!
Also this just this . No for real though this is the reason why I love GOL as a website you own to your mistakes , and also do updates and follow ups when a news is still unraveling.
