Kona, an eerie narrative-driven adventure game is now out on Linux, it's a bit buggy

Quoting: Joeyboots80
Quoting: ShmerlIs it similar to Firewatch?
That's my question as well. Anyone who has played both titles? If so, then I may get this.
I played both.
Only finsihed Firewatch.

Kona seems more open , you can go more places from the word go and discover clues for the investigation you are doing(wont spoil)
You interact less with other characters and the story is less about you and moreabout other people.
It also has a supernatural element (again ,no spoilers)
There is more gameplay than Firewatch for sure.

Ouch on that price tag though.
I know it's cheap now , but I already bought a few games this month.
I know Liam was speaking in the editorial about us buying games and supporting devs on Linux rather than perpetually wait on sales , but on this one I REALLY have to wait on the next sale.

Quoting: SamsaiI've signed up and will probably try to come up with something, even though I'm absolutely hopeless at anything graphical. Should be able to put together something arcade-y in Godot though.
Will you put up some tutorials when you are done ?

Curios to learn some Godot :)

Quoting: ShmerlWhy is contractor work called "consulting"
That's normal in software development.
I noticed, still it doesn't explain the origin of the term :)
Some programmer wanted to look better in front of his girlfriend's parents ?
"I do consulting in IT." sounds better than "I am a contractor"

Sincerely signed a contractor for a network company :-p

The trailer for the MMO Albion Online 'Galahad' update is impressive

Like that they are including PvE for single players or gorups.
I'm gonna roleplay as a loner. Completely DIFFERENT from real life. :(

What have you been playing recently and what do you think about it?

Warhammer 40k Retribution - almost done with all campaigns

Shadow Tactics : Blades of the Shogun

on the fence with Civ 6. Glad they ported it but not my cup of tea compared to Civ 5.

Also on the fence of whether I should play Pillars , Tyranny or Shadowrun.

MachiaVillain, a mix of Dungeon Keeper and Rimworld is coming to Linux

Quoting: Cybolic"Do not kill the door"?
Looks great! I'm hoping the setting will keep me playing longer than the gameplay would normally, like Slashaway Camp.
I think they meant "do not kill the dog"
But yeah I heard door too :-p
People tend to root more for the dogs than the human protagonists.

Leaving Lyndow adds Linux support to their well reviewed short adventure game, my thoughts

Quoting: Purple Library GuyFor a second I thought this had something to do with Lindows [External Link] (and boy, does that take me back!)
OK curios now , did that fork into anything ?
Or did all the distros go towards a dead end ? :(

A look at how much RAM you might need as a Linux gamer

Then there's me with 2 browsers running paused videos and about 30 tabs each , several apps like gimp and godot and atom in the background. And my idle is 10 GB :D

Yes I am insane , why do you ask ?

Towards The Pantheon, a cute 2D RPG has been greenlit and is heading to Linux on Steam
