I'll be honest that explanation flew over by head by about a mile.

This feels less like strategy and more like that video from South Korea showing a Starcraft Tournament

Quoting: GuestSpeaking of which, now that I think about it, since when did rpgmaker games have linux support? I'm pretty sure they didn't back when this game was made at least... hmm..
Latest one RPG Maker VX Ace has export to Linux.
I have it but have not gotten around to playing with it ,

There is also EasyRPG that tries to make an engine to play them and it can be compiled on Linux.
I don't think RPG Maker VX Ace has support for anything other than Windows, unless they recently(ish) added such functionality.

RPG Maker MV (which came out ~3 years ago) has support for exporting to multiple platforms (like Linux), though.
You're right
I mixed up the two.

Strategy game Egypt: Old Kingdom is now available DRM free on GOG

I played the previous Pre-dinastic Egypt
Not for me.
Not much replay value and the turns to beat the mission were very restrictive - something you sadly only realize late game.
I encourage people to try the demo before buying.

Total Chaos is an impressive and scary total conversion for Doom 2 making it a survival horror experience

Quoting: dpanterHow about calling these total conversion full mod projects using modern engines something like... it's not a Doom MOD, it's a Doom MERD... ModernizedEngineRemakingDoom.

It's terrible, sorry. Almost derpy.
What about Modernized Engine Reamking Conent ? MERC ?
Modernized Engine Remake Mod ? MERM ?
Modernized Engine Content Modification ? MECM ?
Enhanced Game Engine Mod ? EGEM ?

I'll stop and go to bed now ...

That looks bloody amazing.
Like most people here i am impressed with what they did , looks as far removed from Doom 2 as my ass is from Venus.
Also wondering if they did not use any levels or sprites, what is tying them to the Doom2.wad file ?
Couldn't they use the open.wad file ? Really curios about this one.
Any case , know what I'll be doing this weekend. :D

Re-Legion, the cyberpunk-inspired strategy game delayed until next year with a new trailer

Looks promising.
Only issue i have the factions looks very samey. Like they only changed the color palette.
Hope they give a bit more variety to the cults and make them customizable.

Quoting: GuestXulima and Sheltered just don't play on Archlinux. Try it) or need hacks to work (DOS).
Hmmm.
I recall being able to run it when I was on Arch.
What error is it throwing ?
