The game looks really nice !
And it's good to see another studio try things in a genre dominated by Paradox. Damn, I wish I could make such a good map using Godot!

Even though I genuinely appreciate RMS and the FSF for all their work so far, if these allegations are true, I am completely on board with this : toxic and unrespectful people should not be examples to follow. Respecting people regardless of their skin colour, sex or gender SHOULD be a top priority in any business or association.
In France where I live, there is - finally - a growing concern for it. FINALLY, rich old CEOs cannot get away with sexist, mysoginist, racist practices anymore. These people know they cannot fuck up anymore, they're wary of their public image. Why ? Because social media pressure is an efficient way to remind people in positions of power that, from now on, there will be consequences for their actions.
Now, I understand the concerns about cancel culture, particularly among, say, more "right-wing-leaning" people. Social media being what they are (I'm looking at you Twitter), there will be people among the crowd that go overboard, blindly jump in the hype-train and turn it into some kind of online public execution, completely discarding any factual elements. It leads to completely unfair harassment campaigns, even lives being destroyed for some people unfairly accused.
But still, apart from these cases, when looking at the big picture, I'm seing a positive outcome. In my former company some women were harassed, like "you should show some skin". A gay co-worker found anonymous hatred messages on his desk, and was met with complete lack of support from his hierarchy. These kind of things are slowly coming to an end, and one can only be glad about it.

Isn't there something that can be done about it legally speaking ? I don't know the american laws very much, but don't you have things like class actions that could help with things like these ?
I mean, FFS, people invested time and efforts in this, probably without earning a penny. What is the legal justification of this ? If GTA's code was indeed reverse-engineered, that means not a single line of code or asset belonging to Rockstar exists in this project, hence no reason for the DMCA.
If it's the case here and it turns out to be yet another DMCA abuse, I *do* hope it will attract negative (but constructive) feedback, hopefully a lot of it, on both TakeTwo AND GitHub. If every unjustified DMCA takedown procedure was met with a fierce reaction from people turning it into a living nightmare in terms of company image/prestige and unending lawsuits, big companies would probably think twice before abusing the system.

I get the AZERTY problem, since I have it too. Honestly, the problem was already present in CK2, so I doubt they will ever fix it. Since then, I stopped using the keyboard to navigate the map. You can use the minimap or zoom out + scroll, or even pan the map with the middle mouse button.
I know that for a RTS enthusiast it doesn't quite replace Z-Q-S-D, but the game is still enjoyable without it, once you've made your peace with that.

But boy oh boy was I (almost entirely) wrong. So, from someone who put ~2300 hours into CK2+all DLCS and about 15 hours into CK3 :
What I almost don't miss :
- Governments : Nomads, Republics.
- Epidemics (with Covid I *think* the timing for that kind of feature might have been wrong).
- Secret societies.
- Horses / immortality / etc.
What I really miss :
- More specific events for cultures (did not see Blót or Holmgangs for vikings, nor chariot racing/greek fire for byzantines).
- DEATH SOUNDS.
- Viceroyalties (or an alternative system).
What I found awesome :
- Religion customization and what it holds for the future.
Overall, I don't think many things are missing to have a "complete" experience, but it's still noticeable for the hardcore CK2 player. You might wanna wait a few months to get it, but the game is already much more complete than CK2 in 2012. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this title.

Quoting: Mountain ManI have read a few reviews, and I see nothing to convince me that CK3 is, at this point, a significant or meaningful upgrade from CK2 with its years of polish and expansion packs. Maybe in a few years, CK3 will offer more than what my version of CK2 offers now.I had the exact same fear when they announced CK3. Worse than that, I even thought this was actually pretty bad news : from my perspective, CK2 with all DLCs was already (almost) perfect, and I was eagerly awaiting for Vicky 3.
