I for one am thrilled. Documentation support in the editor was a weak point, which I'm glad is being addressed.

The best thing they can do is the same thing Ubuntu or Linux Mint does : ask the user once when the system is installed, and give the possibility of changing the behaviour in the administration panel.

@Desum, I tend to disagree with almost everything you said ( no offence :D <3 ).
About marxism being a secular religion, that I can understand.
As for your last paragraph, do not confuse 20th century soviet productivism (which was sort of relevant considering the recent rise of ecology) and 21st century eco-socialism [External Link]. As for funding retirement, which is a recurring political debate in France where I live, not all economists agree on what should be done to be able to sustain it, but solutions exist, backed with plausible numbers and economic scenarios.
Marx made certain hypotheses about human history and from there, human nature, which turned out to be wrongSaid who ? ^^ One could argue that civilization is itself against human nature, that's why there are laws to keep people in check, otherwise folks would be shooting themselves over the slightest disagreement. Socialism and communism just extend the field of those laws to economics.

Thank you Samsai. You summed things up pretty well in a quite detailed and civil way. A welcome sight on a website about gaming ;) I also tend to be wary of over-simplifications such as "XXX doesn't work", or putting people in arbitrary categories ("SJW").
Apart from that, the game seems OK, though I wonder (and hope) if there's more to it than just what the trailer shows, in terms of gameplay and depth.

The game got better since launch, that's for sure : there's a lot more to manage now in terms of city/land management, more events, more decisions to make, or simply put more strategy.
I initially was a bit disappointed after playing it a few days after the release, but resumed playing it 3 weeks ago. Haven't stopped since :D
But still, I wouldn't call it completely finished :
- some UI issues (no Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click when you have to move dozens of pops from one province to another...)
- one or two minor but questionable game design decisions
- lack of different gameplays apart from some differences between government types that have a moderate impact. But I bet they will introduce customization in specific-countries-related DLCs.
So perhaps you should wait a little longer.
