Quoting: Liam DaweAdded a note about installing newer runtime, and a link to known issues. Also clarified that this is a Beta release.
Maybe I'm asking dumb question, but how "Steam Linux Runtime - Soldier" is related to proton, how to check it's version and how to install new, if needed? From reddit post I understand, that Steam Linux Runtime is for linux games and proton for windows. Now both are broken?

Steam Buddy:
After installing any app, you must restart Steam for the newly installed application or game to appear in the Steam Big Picture UI.
So basicly, I can install Steam Buddy on my Linux Mint, and all not steam games (installed by Steam Buddy), will be available for me in Steam? Or I totally misunderstand, how this works?

I watched github page and not really sure, how simple that too is for regular user. Does it sets best settings for every game by default or it just gives option to set everything on my own? Because from screenshot of settings it looks so complicated

ohh same as with civ. If they wont update core game play, it's just waste of time. At least change how AI act, when player is watching. Because often it's just sad to watch how fleet makes stupid decisions and dies...

It shows you 5.0-9, but in fact it's 5.0-10. That's how beta branch works in Proton.
Oh, okay. Thanks for info!

To try it out, you need to opt into the Beta for Proton 5.0 within the Steam client. Here's a quick reminder on how to go about doing that:

I really don't like price and warranty. I mean, in Europe all laptops come with 2 year warranty, but here I have to pay extra money for that. And because service centres are not in my country, I believe, I would have to send them back laptop and wait a long time before I will get it back. That's really not looking good for that price
