Too bad it's single player ..

Cool concept, only missing multiplayer with dedicated Linux server!

Quoting: gabberAs long as there are SJWs pushing their joy-killing agenda I'm afraid we need the Anti-SJWs.
Thanks for the heads up on the issue, not buying infected products.
Quoting: EikeAs long as there are people afraid of pronouns and colors...

Well, I'll buy your copy, gabber. Full price.
I've just put in on my wish list so I won't forget on Linux release.
You're welcome.
An Eike keeps them promises.

Keep being sceptical whenever people throw dirt on terms like "social", "social justice" or at people fighting for social justice.
Justice should be blind of race, gender, etc. Adding the 'social' in front, at least to me, is trying to change that. SJWs, to me, try to 'correct' perceived issues for whatever reason.
Not enough women on company boards? Introduce sexism to favor women, if you don't like it you're sexist
Not enough female lead roles in movies? Simply reshoot movies with genders swapped. If you don't like it, it's because you hate women.

Politics should stay in politics and out of gaming, open source, etc. I don't want to know what the devs think about say gay marriage. These days outright tell people to not buy their game if they hold certain believes.
I vote with my wallet and virtue signalling of any kind will make me not vote for that dev.

The graphics are a bit too grainy for my taste, it's hard to tell who is who and what is going on.

Quoting: Maweki I think we have the culprit. The Facebook page states an Xbox-Release. So additional Microsoft money is quite a possibility.
The culprit is still the dev and not M$. - They only offered a deal, it's the dev who took it.

Dungeon League, a chaotic action-RPG has released with Linux support

weird, looks like this game was in stasis for two years to wake up and get released.

anybody tried it?

The Humble 'Female Protagonist Sale' is live, with some awesome Linux games

This Gender-Rage is tiring. No one cared about Metroid being female. It's bloody fantasy game.
That being said, if a developer needs to virtue signal by genderswapping and putting the 'female protagonist' sticker on their game, I'm out.

And this 'underrepresented'-BS... They're fictional characters FFS.
Maybe this is the fourth wave of feminism 'Equal rights for female game characters'.

Quoting: gabberSadly I can fully understand him. Sure this CoC sound fine. There will be amendments.
If it is fine, it is fine. If something would be added that's not fine, it would be not fine - than, not now, obviously.
Actually it's not fine:
+This Code of Conduct applies both within project spaces and in public spaces
+when an individual is representing the project or its community.
and
or to ban temporarily or permanently any
+contributor for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening,
+offensive, or harmful.
It's vague and not focused.

Sadly I can fully understand him. Sure this CoC sound fine. There will be amendments. There will be demands rolling in.( See Atheism+ / Gamergate etc. )
It is a power grab. The identity and feeling of the programmers will be valued more then the code they produce. This CoC is a stick to hit people with. People you disagree politically.
Politics should stay in politics, not be mixed into gaming and for sure not into coding. Just look at Python and their master-slave controversy.

Action racing game 'Road Redemption' updated with improved physics

Quoting: GuestI've been tempted several times to buy this, but it isnt the first time they've released it broken without any apparent testing at all. So personally I will miss out on a perhaps decent game, but I feel it's important to not promote such terrible behavior from devs.

Maybe there should be a section on the Wiki for this, as they are not alone in releasing broken games.
IMHO you are not missing out on a decent game. I did try it with a friend and we both agreed:
- steering is a pain: if you bump into something it takes forever to get back on track. You're faster back on track if you fall of the building!
- Weapons have almost no effect on the race outcome. Your main focus hast to be the obstacles.
