Quoting: TrumpI dislike the devs of Ark and Rust. Both seem like assholes that do not consider Linux users even worth their time.Sadly a lot of EA developers seem to be this way. It's a big reason I stopped buying EA games. Just not worth the headache.
The survival game 'Rust' has come a long way, I've completely changed my mind about it

I'd play the game, but why play only to have hours to days of work wiped by an update. Would be nice if you could disable this on your own server and choose to run an older version. This is the main reason I quit playing. I spent weeks building a massive base and upgraded most of it to the armored tier. Then an update came and I found myself in a new world with nothing on my own private server. Wrong way to do things.
ARK: Survival Evolved has just had a price increase, it has more than doubled

Wow. It's former price was why I avoided buying it. Now at nearly twice the price, I have twice the reasons not to buy it. I miss the days when buying EA meant spending just a little money($5-$10) to support the development of a game. I'm not about to spend full retail on a game that may never be finished!
Fending off monsters in 'Colony Survival', some early thoughts

I have the game and have to say right now it's not really that interesting. Basically think minecraft early alpha but with fewer blocks. You do have the benefit of having colonist, which is a nice idea, but right now it just feels too pre-alpha and more of a proof of concept game. I think I spent about an hour and feel I have taken the game as far as I can. It's one to keep an eye on for sure. Given it's only been in open alpha for a month, this level is expected.
So if you want something similar, try minecraft with the millénaire mod. Then try this game in a few months. Would love to see what they do with it and if they open it up to modding.
--edit--
Actually this sounds like what happened in early alpha versions of minecraft. Brings back memories. :D

Leaving Lyndow removes Linux support from Steam due to masses of bug reports

Quoting: Duck Hunt-Pr0I'd say this is the case. I used to report windows bugs for games like space engineers, and 7 days to die, but quit because people kept complaining to me it was a early access game and I should just accept the bugs. Even when I posted in the bug report section. So few people understand that to fix bugs, we need to report them first."Linux users account for less than 2% of our customers but over 50% of our bug reports"I'd wager there's one main reason for that; Linux users tend to be willing to report discovered bugs faaaaaaaaaaar more often than (those lazy slob) windows users..

Quoting: liamdaweThere's no reason to assume IO will suddenly be anti-Linux.There's also no reason to think they will be supporting Linux either. Their track record looks rather dismal.

El Presidente Returns! Tropico 6 announced and Linux will be supported

Anyway, Can't wait for the release. The Tropico series is great and unique in the city builder / empire builder genre.

Quoting: GuestHello everyone! This has always drove me nuts as well. The word PC does not tell you the operating system, or even the system architecture(x86,x64,ppc,mips,arm,etc.). This seems to be a recent problem as I remember getting games in the 80's into the 90's that stated things like "DOS PC" or "Windows PC" or even Tandy/IBM PC compatible.
But....PC stands for Personal Computer. When will everybody not knowing it learn pc=\=windows?
Anyway, Can't wait for the release. The Tropico series is great and unique in the city builder / empire builder genre.
Looks like the Linux version of POSTAL Redux is being worked on

Empyrion (devs have promised a linux verson one day)
GTA V
Saints Row the third (Linux multiplayer does not work with windows multiplayer clients)
arma 2 dayz
Banished (A linux port was talked about, but not sure if it will happen)
Raft
Also Minecraft modpacks are a pain to get working on linux.
These are all developer issues, and not linux issues. Sad part was when the developer of raft pulled Linux support.

Quoting: razing32Space engineersQuoting: harshbarjI was a major fan of Postal 2. Will have to give Postal Redux a look when it comes out. 2 was great and a joyfully twisted game. I hope that Redux is also just as sick! Anymore I try to buy Linux compatible games, even when buying for my windows box, hoping for the day when I can delete that last windows partition. A person can dream. What do you still play Win only ? Just curios.

The 'Razer DeathAdder Chroma' is quite possibly the nicest mouse I've ever owned

Price seems about right. I paid about $60 usd for my Logitech MX510 about 13 years ago. Still using it to this day. Best $60 I have spent on a mouse. Though I have replaced the USB cable 4 times now, and replaced a switch, and repaired another switch. Man I love that mouse :D.
