Burst The Game, the free to play FPS arrives with broken Linux support

Quoting: liamdawe
Quoting: HollowSoldierSo the article says the game is broken, without any form of technical information about in what form it is broken. Does it not launch? Does it not render properly? What's the issue?
To quote the article:
completely broken
Did you really need an in depth paragraph on what completely broken means? It doesn't work, at all.
You mean they're distributing JPEG images instead of executables? This is naming an shaming, nothing more.

Lack of pricing policy from Valve shows again.

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

Less market segmentation is good for the customer. Keep buying from existing places. It's not like GOG is full of GOG-exclusive titles.

Valve limit key requests from developers if it isn't "worth the cost"

So Valve staff still does frequent the forum, only they ignore us, regular peasants, and only talk to devs. Nice.

The recent Linux port teaser from Feral Interactive seems to be coming to Mac first now

Quoting: chimpyI'm looking at the recommended specs for Bioshock Remastered for Windows (minimum GeForce 670/recommend 770), and it makes me wonder how many Macs out there will be able to handle it
Those specs are basically based on politics, not real-life performance. They had to put something that is still supported by graphics card vendors. Real requirements are almost the same as the original one. I played it 1080p maxed on an old 6850 and it could easily do 100+ fps.

Bioshock Mac and West Northwood Mac have 2 separate entries on the radar, so West Northwood can't be Bioshock. If Bioshock ever comes to linux, it isn't on the radar yet.

More segmentation is exactly what the end user needs. /s

Let just all publishers, indies too, start their own clone of Steam. At the end of the day, we'll have every single game on a different platform.
