I can answer the first question - yes, your hands can get in the way of these low-profile devices. Particularly when I'm slouching on the couch with it, I find that text boxes in particular (like comments, or Discord) tend to be at the bottom of the screen, and my big shovel-hands cover up exactly where I'm typing.
Yes, it's a bit tedious. But no, I probably wouldn't change it, since the alternative would be (I suspect) super-ugly.

I'm still rocking my 2016 XPS 13 and it's still a joy to use, albeit the battery is beginning to show its age. I only get about 3 and a half hours out of it in normal use, and if I fire up a game, I'm lucky if I get an hour. It was around twice that when I first got it.
It's a great laptop - probably only challenged by Dell's own business Latitude range. I guess I haven't used many non-Dell laptops in the last two or three years though, so take that glowing report with a pinch of salt.

Mozilla looking to improve Twitch playback in Firefox

Quoting: M@GOidI had problems with Firefox on Youtube, where the page would simply stall and need a refresh to work again. Turned out it was the ad-blocker I was using, µBlock Origin. I changed for another and the problem got away. Maybe this Twitch problem with Firefox may be related to a add-on people are using.I use uBlock Origin too, in addition to my pi-hole. I'll give disabling it a shot, but I'm not really interested in moving adblocker - uBlock Origin has been (otherwise, if it's at fault here) excellent!

Firefox is a superb browser. I definitely wouldn't give it up at this point.

Quoting: brokeassbenI get this fairly regularly. Hitting F5 a few times generally brings it up. I actually thought it was my pi-hole adblocker that caused this (and it might be contributing?) but interesting that it's a Firefox thing.certain areas seemingly at random fail to loadYeah, I get that as well. Also video occasionally just doesn't load and requires a refresh of the page. In an attempt to de-Google my life, I've switched fully to Firefox and it's been a MOSTLY good experience.

A look at the top 100 Steam games on Linux - January 2022 edition

Incredibly, the only games on that list I'd like to play, but can't, are Destiny 2 and Apex Legends. The former because I've played it on Stadia and generally enjoyed it, and the latter because I'd quite like to try it out for a bit, but probably wouldn't stick around.
And Icarus I suppose. I love 7D2D, so that could be an interesting title to try.
So I do really hope that the SteamDeck brings a bit of pressure to the big publishers to enable anti-cheat. The rest can be solved by wine/proton updates.

I'd love to have seen this fleshed out a little graphically. I do love a bit of nostalgia, but MUDs were around in the late 80's (probably earlier, but that's when I came across them) and even back then, I'd have preferred some kind of vague pixel representation, rather than letters.
Also, the movement of the map felt very laggy.
And yet... and yet, I'll probably still pick this up. I doubt it rivals Tales of Maj'Eyal even remotely, but there's something very compelling about these style of games, for me.

Most played games this year (that came out this year):
Native
Roguebook [External Link]
Griftlands [External Link]
Legend of Keepers [External Link]
Ziggurat 2 [External Link]
Loop Hero [External Link]
Proton
Mass Effect Legendary Edition [External Link]
Phantom Abyss [External Link]
Only two Proton titles, because everything I play using Proton tends to be much older, either because of my rule of rarely paying full price for Proton games (hence, needing to wait for a big sale, usually the following year), or because of Denuvo. I would have paid full price, in a heart beat, for Deathloop, but hey ho. Bethesda have forced Arkane to push that shit on every title they've released since Prey, so it's a hard pass from me until it's removed.

Quoting: EduardoMedinaFrom years ago I think that developers don't want Linux because of GPL license. Too many power for the user, and the most of big corporations and many developers don't want to give power to users, they want to use users while they take user's money.Eh, naw. I don't agree with that. It's all money - Mac has about four or five times our market share. Simple as that. And the GPL has nothing to do with releasing a proprietary game on Steam, a proprietary platform.
Porting to Mac is much more expensive than adapt to Proton, but many developers prefer to port to Mac instead of supporting Linux through Proton. This is not an economic question, it's a political question.

I've been waiting to buy this for... what... two/three years? Loved the first game and I think there were hints/hopes that they'd provide a native build. Now they can't even commit to the simplest change Valve can ask them to make, so I guess it's coming off my wishlist. Really sad. The first game had really fun PvE.
