That would make me a very happy gamer. I´ve already sunk a fair bit of time into both titles at the start of 2013 when I still had a Windows partition. They´re pretty superb shooters.

Quoting: risingoatHi everyone!

My name is David and I'm part of the team at Risin' Goat, creator of 'A Rite from the Stars'. I just wanted to say hi to everyone in the community and thank the article writer for including our game in the list.

Cheers and thank you all again!

Best of luck on the campaign, David. It looks superb and really deserves to be made/finished!

p.s. Loved your beanie in the video, dude! But Carlos stole the show with his passionate summary of the story and game mechanics!! :D

Quoting: scainePrison Break is what convinced me of this approach. I bought into the hype train, stuck down my £18 and was completely disappointed. I think it was around Alpha13 and while it's up to something like 18 or 19 now, that experience was so devoid of fun that I haven't played it since!
Surely you mean Prison Architect, don't you? :P
Doh! Prison Break was that dodgy TV series, wasn't it? Yeah, of course I meant Prison Architect. It looks like it could be really fun, but the lack of a useful tutorial, obscure objectives and weird bugs rendered my few hours with the game a frustrating experience.

Quoting: PlintslchoFor me personally, the Kickstarter hype has died down though. I have backed some projects up but in the end, haven't had the feeling it was really worth it. I rather follow the development now and pick the game up when it is finished.
I'm much pickier about my pledges now too, but only because of the Fun Pimps debacle. So stretch goals are out for me, and I prefer to see some evidence that the project is taking cross-platform really seriously.

Strangely enough, while I see value in Kickstarter, I utterly despise early access. And I won't ever sign up for alpha or beta access on Kickstarter either. Despite wanting to be part of the seed that grows into a game, I still (perhaps selfishly) want to experience the finished article and not ruin the surprise by playing low quality rubbish along the way.

That's good news about Jotun. I had my doubts about that one, but it looks like it's coming good. Now go pledge on Script Kiddies... I command you! I command you all!! :D

A Very Important Announcement For You

Really sad news. I'll continue to contribute to the Funding Crowd as best I can and maybe have a stab at an article, where, in the past, I would just have left a tip (using the Submit Tip feature, or dropping Liam an email).

Hope things turn around for Liam.

Ziggurat, An FPS Dungeon Crawler Now On Linux And It's Good, But With Issues

I used to think the low playtime in this type of game was an issue, but then I was playing Luftrausers the other night and realised that it's the same game over and over and all you're changing is how your plane looks/flies/attacks. The rest is identical.

I still managed to play it for hours without bothering. It's randomly generated each play through and spectacularly slick. Not going to compete with MetroLL, but still a viable way to lose an evening.

Darksiders 2 Confirmed For Linux

Can't comment on the second, since I'd ditched Windows by the time it came out, but I played the first via PS3's rental deal... what was it called? Playstation Plus?

The first game is phenomenal. Up there with God of War, but surpassing that game in terms of combat, if not production value. Even there, it has incredible quality.

It's a console port, remember, and should be played as such - with a controller. If you do, I'm pretty certain you'll enjoy it. One of my favourite games of all time - certainly an easy Top Twenty contender and maybe even in the Top Ten.

Just came across this project too, only 6 days left to go, but if you like runners, it's worth a look.

Great writing, Munts. Sorry I couldn't help out more with this issue.
