For some reason I wish they went for more of a "wacky" style and had cards from various popular Steam games. Imagine some Dota2 characters fighting a CS Swat team.
Maybe even just transforming the existing steam collectible cards into playables, so you'd have to decide if you want to keep them to play with or use them to craft a badge.

Amazing. I played this game so much (both the GoldSrc and then the Source version) before I went cold turkey on GNU/Linux only games. It was one of the harder ones to give up.
Thought I'd never get to play it again, thanks for working on this!

Looks like Valve may be preparing a 64bit version of the Steam client

But either way, a 64bit client will be very cool.

We already know they're planning an overhaul of certain parts of the client, with various leaks and Valve eventually talking about it.Is there any chance part of this overhaul will include making Steam behave in a more standard way with regard to package management? Meaning allowing package managers to handle updating Steam instead of Steam updating itself?

This looks really good. I have a soft spot for multiplayer games too so this is probably an instant buy for me.

This is definitely one of my favorite game modes in any FPS game. I'll have to give it a try.

If they do make multiplayer games I just hope they make something that is capable of having a nice modding community following. Something with real server lists instead of matchmaking stuff. Of course that goes without saying that there needs to be no item shops either so they don't feel obligated to lock down what people can do with the game to create artificial scarcity.

Please tell me that's not a jump pad. Do they intend to remove the long jump module?
I really hope not, especially if their reason is the very insulting "too complicated for players" line. Do they also gimp other parts of the game too and try to make it easier? It's honestly not even that difficult of a game. If so then I hardly think this remake could be worth my time.
I hope I'm wrong though. Or maybe I'm just taking it too personally as I really love the GoldSrc engine with all its features, games, quirks, and bugs.
