I wonder how it compares to Dwarf fortress.
It does seem like a nice take on it, even thought the Ascii goodness is something I keep going back to.

I am still in the middle of a lot of games, but sure that I will start that one as soon as it's out.

Just two words: thank you!
I am really enjoying both games, and shadow warrior is such a great outlet for passive agression at the weekend.

I am not a Valve shill, but I think that Valve showed themselves as a great company, not afraid to back down when their experiments go wrong. It shows that they do listen to the community...
About the 25% cut that the developers were getting, I am sure that Valve only had a portion of the other 75%, the rest probably went to the owners of the asssets & IP of the game.
I then went on to think about the portion that artists get in the music industry from the sale of an album.
how much is it? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23840744 [External Link]
13% WOW, that is what the Artist gets from the sale of a CD...That 25% cut suddenly seems quite generous... OK, I don't want to insult the creators of mods in any way, but it still makes on ponder.
I think the payment system was porly implemented, and I hope that soon, we will have a way to reward the modding community with dollars, not free beer.

Great game, but not a lot of people on the servers.
I personnally think the game has great environments, some levels are more beautiful than others., Think of the outdoor ones.
A friend gave me this feedback - not enough weapons.
I agree that they could add some options here...

I can wait.
Definitely an instabuy when it comes out on Linux.
I am happy about waiting because it means that I can play these games fully patched.

I just wanted to say Bravo!
And bravo to this website.
You do realise Liam (and team) that you are THE most comprehensive website for a platform that now has more than a thousand titles, and is growing!
Thanks to all the team for persevering in the troubled times last year, and thanks to Liam for coming back to the website.
I am not a Star Trek fan, but I think that I do have to quote: "Live long and prosper."

OK here is my take.
I would not have a windows partition if I did not have a friend in real life with whom I play online. He has windows and is open to Linux, but he will never leave windows, just because so many games he has do not run on Linux. And no I don't want to pressure him in any way to switch to Linux, we are not zealots. I have told him Linux was great but that is about it.
So when we game, and the game is on Linux, then all is good, otherwise if the game runs on Windows I have to boot on my windows hard drive. For example age of empires... The list is getting smaller, but it is there nethertheless.
And for the foreseeable future it will be like that.
As for my solo gaming, it is exclusively on Linux.
