Quoting: TheBossYou may think it's overreacting, but I will keep pointing out developers that do stuff like this.
Do stuff like what?? Tone it down a little, maybe.
Tone it down? Cheeky.

I think you're fully aware of what I am talking about: Developers who state Linux is a platform right up until release, then release without Linux support and don't mention it anywhere. Forcing me and other users to chase them up for answers.

I will continue to point out developers that do it, as the majority appreciate it. We also have people who like to know what happens with games that we previously covered.
When did we suddenly start expecting day 1 releases by default?

We're 2% of the market, and like it or not, whether intentional or not, GOL represents the face of that 2%. And if you go about this thing with all the grace and tact of a British tabloid, it does a huge disservice to us all.

So yeah, tone it down.

The "majority" you speak of is debatable too - did you take a survey?

Quoting: oldrocker99The many different *nix distros can be a barrier to developers as far as official support .

This is unfortunately true; Armello and a few others would not run for me when I tried Manjaro :( . I went back to Ubuntu MATE (running 16.04 beta, and it's stable as hell).
If you happen to still have a Manjaro install lying around, I'd be keen to know more about this and see if we can get a fix worked out. I've helped the Armello devs work through Linux issues before and would be glad to get to the bottom of what's going on there.

Chances are that it's going to be something that's relevant to other distros (perhaps it could even have been this Steam Runtime issue [External Link] which wasn't an issue on then-current versions of Ubuntu, but would eventually have been a problem as newer Ubuntu releases started shipping newer libraries). Since these sorts of things usually end up effecting everybody, it's hard to think of them as fragmentation issues.
This is interesting. It worked for me on my Manjaro. When I am home I will check if this is still the case.

Name a single instance in which a game was not delivered. (Say "Spacebase DF-9", I frickin' dare ya).

Your comment is based on nothing but irrational hatred.

Quoting: tuubiDoesn't mean we somehow get more enjoyment out of badly written dialogue. Not in reference to this game in particular, just don't see your point.
My point is that a hold a c1 in english being close to have c2 now and i barely noticed that the english was off. Just a different wording that I would normally see in an american movie, but no different than when I go to different region where other words are more common.

That being said, I believe cheeseness is australian. His english sounds a little funny to me most of the time as well :)
I noticed the language thing too. It's not about grammar, since there's no issue with that - more a case of nuance. It's not super jarring, but noticeable. I think we'd need to extract some specific examples.

I'm sure those are coming. It's just easier to release this sort of thing first, since the art team would otherwise have had little to do during the last phase of development and after launch.
