American Truck Simulator has an early release, day one for Linux

Quoting: kshadeDid they fix Steam Controller support under Linux?
I was wondering about that myself. They're aware of the problem in Eurotruck Simulator 2 and have said they're working on it, but no fix yet.
There seems to be a general controller issue on Linux. I got opentrack head tracking working via my Android phone, which sets up a virtual controller at /dev/input/js2 but ETS2 does not see it at all.

Quoting: PlintslchoIt's just that I don't find the idea of doing such a job on the computer a whole lot of fun.
With *TS it's not so much about doing the job though. What usually happens is that you get totally absorbed in your surroundings as you drive. Your mind gradually goes from unfocused to focused, and then your body starts to unwind. It's an almost entirely stress-free game too. You can crash, or run out of fuel, or run out of money, but for the most part these things are more to serve as flavour than challenge. The audience for this is not hardcore simulation enthusiasts, it's people who just want to chill for a few hours.

To help them out, why not buy a few of their titles? I'm rather enjoying Skyward Rogue at the moment.

Feral Interactive are teasing a new Linux port on their radar

I am not into racing games, but I picked up Feral's GRID Autosport port, then had the crazy idea to also buy a racing wheel. Ended up with a Logitech Driving Force GT. Best decision ever. Works perfectly with GRID - rumble, force feedback and all that stuff working exactly as it should. The feeling of fighting with the G-force as you take sharp turns is great.

Although, I have spent most of my time playing Euro Truck Sim 2 with it. Also totally transformed the experience, even though the force feedback stuff does not seem to be implemented on Linux.

Anyhoo, might consider grabbing F1 2015 so that my wheel has more things to do. Don't want the poor little fella feeling like he's not getting enough attention.

Look, anyone cranky enough to complain about this would probably never have bought this game in the first place.

The story is just bullshit, trying to say that USA is the opressed by Koreans in the future.
Maybe stop harrassing NK?
It's a fracking game, chill out.
While I don't agree with the sentiment that the game is propaganda, I also don't think "it's a game" is a very good attitude to have towards the medium. Games are no less capable of having things to say and to affect our way of thinking. Games, just like books, film, etc. can mould how we view the world.

I think you over-estimate how far one can push 2.4m - it's not that big of a budget - very much still falls on the "indie" side of the fence.

Monument Valley, a tiny game compared to Planetary Annihilation, cost $1.4m. An RTS with multiplayer would have far bigger development costs.

And at the opposite end of the spectrum you have GTA V with a $265m development cost.

Quoting: fleskThanks. :) I have a couple of of those in my "staging" collection [External Link] of games I haven't checked out properly yet...
You can safely move the Zork series out of staging, they were one of the best-selling games of their time, but I wonder if they're legit...
I seem to recall that for some bizarre reason, Activision chose to renew the copyright on Leather Goddesses of Phobos, but not the Zork series.
