Manjaro needs testers for the upcoming Manjaro GNOME 20.0 release - Snap and Flatpak support OOTB

Quoting: fagnerlnI love the color scheme of Manjaro, but I'm really fine with ubuntu (and pretty excited with 20.04, it will be a good day)
Used Ubuntu for years, then I tried Manjaro, but I very quickly gave up, switch back to Ubuntu, at some point I got fed up with Ubuntu and switch back to Manjaro and actually gave it a fear chance. I love it, I actually love it. I used the Budgie version for some time but now I am on Gnome.
Ubuntu is nice, but the software they provide is usually very old, and you have to add PPAs and for a new user I don't think that is very easy. Manjaro, the way I see it, is like Ubuntu but with new-er software, yes it's not that tested, but I didn't have a problem with it until now. And once you get how the AUR works... my god this is like a new experience to Linux in itself.

Maybe when this release comes out, I will actually do a complete reinstall, since I put it on my laptop and PC like 3-4 years ago I never reinstaled the OS but I kind of want have that "fresh feeling" :D

What have you been playing recently? Come tell us what you think about it

I've been playing The Long Dark this quarantine. I had it in my steam library and I tough it is the perfect time to try it, and I actually love it.
Next on my list is FTL Faster Than Light, I did play it a little bit a long back but now I have more time so after I am done with The long Dark that is my next one

Quoting: mylkawho is making the linux port of turing test? feral, or enix?
Why does it matter ?

Stadia looks to be very limited at launch and not just the amount of games

Google are going for a "gradual rollout and continues improvement" approach based on feedback
It's only logical since Google has a very good track record for listening to user feedback...

Quoting: DorritI find Snaps/Flatpaks and AUR mutually exclusive.
How so? I use Manjaro for like 1 year now, and I use some packages from AUR and some from Flatpak and they work very good. Please elaborate...

Total War: THREE KINGDOMS is out and it comes with same-day Linux support

Quoting: TheBardEven if officially Feral only supports Ubuntu, when I had issues on Arch they always did their best to help. They even managed to find the reason of some crashes was my keyboard! That was very impressive. Remember to take it from the Feral store.
Does it meter if I buy it from their store or Steam? I am on Linux when I am buying the game if steam reports somehow my OS in use

The war of the PC stores is getting ugly, as Metro Exodus becomes a timed Epic Store exclusive

Quoting: MohandevirFor the rest, Deep Silver got 129 pages of hateful comments on a 3 hours span. Steam users are pissed off and a part of them will avoid the game.
Yes well the internet has a memory span of a couple of hours, when the game is out the very people that wrote there will install the launcher and buy the game... not all of them, but enough of them for deep silver to still earn enough profit to sleep with Epic again...

Quoting: rat2000Why is everyone bashing only Epic?
Epic is coercing people into exclusive contracts with them by offering them monetary incentives. They are the source of the problem. The Metro guys just fell to that temptation and took their money.
Did you read all my post? I am saying they are EQUALY at fault maybe DeepSilver even more...

Quoting: rat2000I can only hope that as a community(of steam users not linux users) we can restrain ourself from buying the game on epic but we all know we will fail miserable on this...
I have no intention of buying a Windows game at or close to full price. Ever. And with the complete disaster that is the Epic Launcher in Wine, it's wouldn't be a fun ride.
Most of the users here I would say they are above average, but think of the average joe that is out there in the wild... We, unfortunately, are greatly outnumbered...

Why is everyone bashing only Epic? The Metro publisher are as bad as epic... And honestly I am shocked that all the comments bash Epic only(with very very few exceptions for 1 or 2 people) and Deep Silver gets a pass.. they are BOTH as bad but Deep Silver in the end is the one that did not think about their loyal customers who bought the earlier titles on steam and now are left with jacksh**.

I can only hope that as a community(of steam users not linux users) we can restrain ourself from buying the game on epic but we all know we will fail miserable on this...
