Why must they be on GOG? They are great games by great developers and I would really like to see you support them, but it is your call of course.

Q&A with Interstellar Marines devs!

With regards to Unity, the lack of modding support is one of the reasons why RWS is hesitant to use it for their next game. If someone could dig up more information on the status of modding support for Unity or if they have any plans to improve it, it could go a long way to getting their next game on Linux.

Well, thankfully the Humble guys are starting to realize the need for better testing and QA. They have been way too many problems lately.

Runesoft brings Airline Tycoon Deluxe to Desura!

Again, a little more expensive than it probably should be, but if it is true that RuneSoft has committed to some actual new ports being on the way, I am willing to cut them a little slack.

EDIT: Here is the confirmation:
Quoting: kratz00tAll I can say for now is, we are working on Airline Tycoon Deluxe and Northland, they will be available on Desura really soon. Next up will be Jack Keane and the Ankh series. The Ankh series will also include Ankh 3 for Linux for the first time ever, but probably not this year. At the moment there is no final decision about all the other games yet.

Steam Closed Beta Now Live!

Well, with Steam you have to buy into their philosophy. If you don't, you are left in the cold. That is true in general.

In this specific case though, we will have to wait and see, and it is still in closed beta after all. I am really kind of perplexed by all the people jumping into this thing so quickly and in some ways leaving their good sense at the door - it is still very early yet, so calm down and down everyone and maybe learn a little bit of patience.

Says someone who is personally not terribly interested I know. But still...

Quoting: "Anon, post: 6160"And someone in the thread is claiming it's easy to bypass the check. Anyone care to share? ;)

So people are trying to bypass Steam authentication already? Interesting sign... :P
