KDE is/was Kool Desktop Environment.

I say "is/was" on those because I'm not sure if they have retained their original acronyms?

OK, so you have "reasons" but not ones that really match your original statement. I was just wondering what hardware didn't work with newer kernels and was making you stick with older ones, or what "kernel spins" were required for oddball devices. But it's really just "I want to test the latest before I roll it out".

I remembered to pause in time (they made it harder to find now!), but I was curious how it works if you don't... do you get to pick your selections at any time in the future, or is there some timeout where eventually you get nothing you haven't claimed?
