Full Throttle Remastered Rides onto Linux

What I hate the most about the installer is that it always suggest "$HOME/GOG Games/" even though I every time want it to install in "$HOME/games/gog_games" (no spaces).

Quoting: ShmerlI miss the good old days when we got tar.gz for linux games, although I would prefer .tar.xz. It was much more convenient for me. No need to make them executable, and I have memorized the command line options for tar, so it is quite easy, without any GUI magic required. As an alternative aunpack is even easier command line interface. I use aunpack for everything that doesn't work through the tar-frontend, which more often than not is zip files.Quoting: CheesenessAaand it's up on GOG [External Link] now too \o/The reason why GOG didn't make an installer, and used simple tarball [External Link].

Quoting: liamdaweI have started on a script that parses this [External Link], e.g. every 30 minutes and generate statistics for you although I am not sure how much I should include. For now I am appending the usernames of online players each time the script is run, but I am thinking about a last seen per username, and a counter instead. If you have any wishlist, then feel free to say what you want to have.Quoting: KetilAh, so a few more than I thought, that's good to know. Well you can be sure it's sticking around for another few months :)It only has 2-3 people regularly playing on it, so it's quite an expense just for thatMy tribe has 4 people on regularily, and I think there are two other people regularily as well.

I'm planning a huge base after the wipe. Currently my planning of it only has 2 floors and already cost 30k wood and 90k sheet metal or 180k stone. Cost of doors and locks not included. It is designed in a way that I can start small, and expand when I have materials, so no need for a temporary base either.

Python isn't as fast as C/C++, but it isn't slow either. It depends a lot on how you use it, and modules can easily be precompiled leaving a binary .pyc file beside the .py file.
A minimal language intended for scripting only will probably be faster, but python is a general purpose language, so you can generally do more with it, with less, or more readable code.

The viking waves will increase as your city increase, and you will get ogres attacking as well. They will destroy your walls or buildings if given the chance.

Quoting: GuestYeah, it definitely is possible, but the grind for getting c4 is hard enough that I think people try to take the cheapest route, and sheet metal doors need less C4 than sheet metal foundations.Quoting: KetilI assume raiders would just destroy the door, and not bother with the foundations. The whole building was gone.Depends, if you have enough c4 you can foundation wipe
