Really nice, I was checking for linux support for this game a few days ago, but as it didn't have linux symbol on steam I didn't investigate more. I will wait for either a sale or official linux support though.

Quoting: GuestI cannot guarantee I won't kill you as I shoot first because I am afraid to get shot. If you complain in chat though, then I probably will come back with your things.Quoting: EhvisWho needs PVP when you have bears! The bears have taken so much from me! Makes me sad...

ARK stops warping my cursor once it is outside the game window, which is how it should be. Although even ark is a bit annoying as it detects the cursor move and move the field of view first. Games like rust and ark are games where you want to see what is going on while doing other stuff.

It is quite annoying that I cannot move my mouse pointer outside the game without opening inventory or main menu. Even if I use shortcut to warp mouse to my other monitor, the game warps it back.
ARK: Survival Evolved has just had a price increase, it has more than doubled

If the running of the server gets too expensive then you could consider having an official gol tribe we could join on a different server, possibly official.
Some things developers might want to think about when bringing a game to Linux

Quoting: ShmerlI partially disagree. I think you should at least wait 6 months, maybe a year from an LTS is released until you start compiling against the new one unless you have a good reason, like using features of the newest C++ version not available in the older LTS.Quoting: GuestI would recommend building under the previous Ubuntu LTS version, so for example at the moment it would be Ubuntu 14.04.That's a bad advice, since it severely limits compiler features. I don't think anyone should worry about supporting previous LTS of major distros.

I think developers ought to use LANG=C (en_US-UTF8 might not be installed) in their startup scripts if they don't plan to test and support multiple locales the right way.
I think games and programs should use keycode rather than keysym internally for keybindings. Keybindings like shift+semikolon might not work if it is defined as keysym, because semicolon on norwegian qwerty is shift+comma already. If it was shift+keycode 47 instead then it would work on norwegian qwerty too, although it would be shift+ø instead of shift+semikolon. Definitely show the keybindings to the user as keysym though. To differentiate KP_7 and KP_HOME(numpad) a bit of keysym is needed as well.
