Makes me remember of the Battlestar Gallactica combat scenes. I'll really following this one.

Can you hear that? It's the Steam sales train and it's arrived, also Steam Wishlist revamp

Quoting: BrisseFinally I've acquired Hollow Knight which I just played for almost 2 hours and it seems pretty cool, and Divinity: Original Sin EE which I tried to launch but it just crashes instead. Bedtime now so I'll have to investigate that tomorrow, but worst case scenario I'd just get a refund but I really would like to get it working.

Anyone seen this error before?

Segmentation fault. Game engine fault definitely...

Quoting: x_winglibrary sharing is not so cool when you get to know the limitations.
Our of curiosity: What are the limitations you mean? If she or you play offline it should be okay. Except for statistics not being bumped and online games.
Steam library sharing means that you share the whole library as one thing. This means that if someone plays some game from the shared library, then Steam considers that the whole library is being used which means that another can't play any other game from the library while the former user is playing. In my case, if my girlfriend is playing D2 and I try to play another game from my lib, she'll be kicked out from his game (and she will get mad with me and... well, girlfriends are girlfriends). Fortunately I'm able to play games that are DRM free from my lib (i.e. go to the install dir and run the game without the steamappid.txt) but somethimes I want to play online and I simple can't until she stops playing :/

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTFor the same reason: Which is the language they made voice acting for? Is it a good translation?
In the Steam game page it says that has voice & text translation for: english, spanish, french, russian, german & italian.

My girlfriend plays with spanish languague (voice and text are completely translated). Out of being the iberic spanish (we're from south america), it's a good translation and the voice actor does a good job in order to give the funny context sound that each phrase needs.

My girlfriend is playing a lot the Dungeons 2 (using my Steam library unfortunately... library sharing is not so cool when you get to know the limitations). Is quite remarkable that this game has voice translation for many laguages, something quite uncommon.

I'll probably buy D2 + D3 + DLCs for her on the upcoming sale I think (for love of course, not because I want to play when she does ¬¬).

The game is DRM free on steam, so it should be just around the corner.

Rise of the Tomb Raider announced for Linux, port from Feral Interactive

Quoting: syxbitThis is probably a great sign because it means the original Tomb Raider port was successful. Though the pessimist in me says they were paid to port to Mac, and the Linux version isn't much extra.
Doubt it as for OSX they have to use a different API. If they are doing this job, definitely they expect to get some profit.

Quoting: Avehicle7887I don't want to rub people the wrong way with this, however until Square Enix decides to release on GOG I can't support Feral's work. Considering the Windows version is still plagued with Denuvo I don't see this happening anytime soon.
Denuvo doesn't support Linux. Fortunately that shit isn't a problem for us!

This game is a instabuy for me. I really liked the TR2013 even though it didn't feel like the old ones, but still an excellent game!

Works flawlessly with Mesa (17.3.2@RX 580). Also, it's DRM free, so you can play it even without Steam.

Looks like the Linux market share on Steam went up in January

Actually , I used to work for a company related to IBM , and the IBM-ers I spoke to told me they had a choice of Windows or Red Hat since they used Lotus Notes at the time for mail/chat.

Not sure if this still holds true today though.
Where I work we are free to choose the OS we like (at least at dev level). Almost all the dev teams use Linux (from Fedora to Ubuntu) but, for some unknown reason, support & professional services use Windows with a lot of shitty tools in order to connect to client servers. Even though almost every devs use Windows for gaming at home. Not sure if there is a relation between what you use at work and what you'll be using at home for daily gaming/web browsing.

And February will keep this raise as I finally was able to install a Linux distro in my girlfriend notebook (thanks W10, without your persistent ability to get slow it would have never been possible :D). One more for the team!

Would be nice to know which is the spent average on buying games for each tier. I have the theory that a great percent of the Windows accounts are just dummy accounts or F2P.
