Do any look like Pokemon?
Not to me...I think it's still within the same theme/style but different enough to not really qualify as look alike. Looks good :)

Old School Rally plans full support for Steam Deck - got me feeling nostalgic

This looks great and if you like the idea, try Rush Rally 3 (and Rush Rally Origins if you like top down style). It works on steam deck, but windows only so requires proton. There is a free demo, try it. Has an R34 :P Seriously, it's great...I'm gonna play it now :D

Hopefully Old School Rally will have a Native Linux release so I can play it on my FreeBSD laptop too, that'll make it the best :D

What have you been playing recently?
Rush Rally 3 and Rush Rally Origins

I wish these 2 games had some coverage...I found them by randomly browsing the racing category in steam...hidden gems. Windows only, but has free demo and works with proton. Developed by Brownmonster games which is a solo dev with lots of experience (worked on Dirt 2 and many other big titles) who set out to make his own rally game using his own custom engine. And its freakin fun!! Spent most free time over the long weekend on it, highly recommend :D

Quoting: razing32Wait , the binaries work ?
I thought the linux binaries were no longer compatible on FreeBSD.
They work using linux emulation layer. If you install the linux-steam-utils port/pkg, it'll pull in all the dependencies for that, you just need to enable it and a few other modules. So with that, you'll have fully working steam client and from there you can run this game and many other unity titles that have native linux binaries. Proton works too, but the laptop i have this set up on doesn't support vulkan, so i can't use it.

Here is a list of just some of the games tested and know to work (or not work): https://github.com/shkhln/linuxulator-steam-utils/wiki/Compatibility [External Link]

Cool! Just got this, works on FreeBSD :D
Looks like they already released a patch to add twin stick. I'll be spending some time with this for sure.
Wouldn't have known about this game if it wasn't for GoL, thanks again! :)

Too bad no native linux build. I played over 30 hours of Horizon Chase Turbo on my T530 with FreeBSD...this looks like right up that alley, but the T530 has a Fermi which means no Vulkan which means no Proton which means I can't play this game on it :( I know I'm a very obscure corner case, but the games that laptop can play, it plays well, so I hope the library for it grows with games like this. Oh well

OK, I'll go first:
If you want horror and puzzles in an OS setting, just install Windows. You'll be so scared you're never going to touch a computer again.

I'll see myself out now, thank you
