Nice! This looks cool!! And it's 80% off now on both Itch and Steam (might want to update the article to mention this). I just bought it on itch and downloaded the Linux build, will try it soon. Thanks GoL!!

Quoting: LinuxerCould therebe a snap pack ? im overwhelmed on the install page again https://openrazer.github.io/#ubuntu [External Link] and they say ppa is dangerous :angry:Hi Linuxer. This and considering your question in the previous article for fheroes2, maybe it's time to think about installing another linux distro that's more open and community/standard friendly than Ubuntu? I don't mean this in any kind of disrespectful or mean way, Ubuntu is (was) known to be user friendly and most supported distro, but the last few years they went their own route with snaps, are downright hostile to flatpak and are obviously no longer trying to support their user base like they used to, so maybe it's time to switch to one of the many available alternatives. I suggest looking at Mint, Manjaro or Fedora...since you are already familiar with Ubuntu, Mint would probably be easiest to jump into. It uses apt as package manager and supports flatpak out of the box. I honestly think this will make setting up openrazer, fheroes2 and plenty of other open source software mentioned on this site much easier for you. Good luck!
Counter-Strike 2 is out now with Linux support

But seriously, this thing does play a lot of games; I can deal with the long load times and tuning graphics down to medium and play on 720p...GPU is the main bottleneck, if upgrade the GTX1650 Super, I can throw more at it. For work and browsing, its great. But yea, probably no more upgrades for it, will probably build a new box soonish...hopefully ;)

Quoting: ChuckaluphagusI'm not into Counter-Strike, but I am extremely curious how well it plays on an i5-750, a processor that came on the market 14 years ago.I have an i5-760 which is almost identical, so will let you know as soon as I have a chance to try it. However I just kicked off an

Linux user share remains above macOS in the latest Steam Survey

It does use the Linux emulation layer though and is detected as running on CentOS 7; so thats what it would show up in steam survey results as.
My laptop is old with an Nvidia Fermi GPU, so I'm stuck with nvidia 390 series drivers and no vulkan...that limits me to only OpenGL Linux native games and completely eliminates proton (which does work on more modern hardware).
My main desktop is Gentoo, I will never give it up. Yes, it takes time to compile, nothing works out of the box, but the flexibility you get with it is unmatched by any distro; if you have the patience (and interest/desire) to tweak...everything. Gentoo is the best, FreeBSD is close 2nd; no systemd on any them! (optional in Gentoo, but not rammed down your throat...yet?)

Quoting: nenoroNo sign of FreeBSD ?You can have steam on FreeBSD, i have it one of my laptops, it works well: https://github.com/shkhln/linuxulator-steam-utils [External Link]
I saw someone who has a youtube channel showing games running on freeBSD under wine.
I might go to freebsd when valve finally release a native steam for freebsd, midnightbsd.
i'm being depressed on gentoo, i want to go back to arch but it's impossible >.<

Quoting: LanzI just can't support Epic, even if it's free.I understand exactly what you mean, but your not really supporting them, rather just taking advantage of them. If they want to give away free shit, just take it and play it. The second they expect some compensation, just turn around. I don't like Epic too, but am happy to have played lots of good games they gave me for free via Heroic and I really don't see how that supports them in any way as I haven't given them a cent...that's my 2 cents :)

So in this case, with the game being 92% off, it came out to 63 cents CAD without having to link your account...that's still a good deal so I just chucked them the 63 cents :) You get a code, you redeem the code in the steam, no integration/linking necessary this way, all good :D

Quoting: davidakYou also have to link your Steam account to get the free Garfield Kart. The site is legit, but I don't like this steam account linking bs. Humble does it for some giveaways/deals too, so I just don't claim them. Linking my steam account which has a huge catalog of games to bunch of 3rd party sites...seems like a problem just waiting to happen if one of these sites have a breach or something (I'm not sure how the linking stuff actually works, but I will assume it gives them some control/integration of your steam account, otherwise what's the point).
In order to complete your purchase of Garfield Kart - Furious Racing, you need to link your Fanatical account to an Unlimited Steam account. This is an account that has spent over $5.00 USD in the Steam Store.Still not sure if the site is legit.

This looks just like Hotshot Racing, which is really good. It looks just like this but doesn't have the crash damage. If you like this type of game, I highly recommend Hotshot Racing; doesn't have linux native port, but works great with Wine/Proton. I spent a lot of time with that game a year or so ago when I got it in a bundle, it's fun :)
