I just saw that they pushed out an update that supposedly fixes the controller issue, although I haven't tested it myself: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta#announcements/detail/1655515215474881645 [External Link]

I tried it and it basically works, no trouble setting things up. I got a little lag when trying out a game, I'd probably stick to non-time sensitive games if I used this regularly.

I'm also not having the "'A' cancelling out the pairing" problem. In fact, one of my codes was all A's and it worked fine.

Quoting: F.UltraStill sad that still in 2018 things get's completely wiped on firmware updates. Wouldn't it be nice if vendors of controllers, BIOS/UEFI, Smart TVs and so on would put the configuration on a separate memory location that didn't get wiped. It's not "completely wiped", it just is no longer paired. Once I paired my controllers, they had retained their personal settings (name, start up tune, etc.).

So, to clarify, do we need to press the steam button AND A (or B) every time we turn on the controller, or just when wanting to switch modes?

As for their financials, I don't know for sure obviously, but it sounds like the game isn't flying off the shelves, but they, like a lot of indie games, have no marketing budget.
I think it's worth the money, but your tastes may vary. You could always try it and get a refund if you don't like it.

Quoting: GuestDid this ever get fixed by the way? I'm thinking of buying it even though I was initially going to wait for a saleI know personally my Steam controller isn't properly recognized (the game thinks it's a mouse according to the log file), but Liam tested gamepad functionality for puppy games and it worked fine for him. I uploaded a config that mimics the expected control layout, so a steam controller should work either natively or by tricking the game into thinking you're using a kbd & mouse.e
Is it just me or does it sound like they're not doing "that" great profit wise as a company atm?

It does look like a very charming game, is it worth the money?

I only own some of Double Fine's Amnesia Fortnite seasons, but I like that it provides an alternate audio track for commentary, something I don't see on any other streaming video purchase sites that I'm aware of. Does anyone know if this is a common option for videos (especially movies) on Steam?

I'm still on the drivers that came in the latest SteamOS (387.something) and this beta resolved my main issue which was the cutscenes would grind the game to a halt. Thank you, Feral!

I've played for a couple of hours and it's really fun. The only problem I've had so far is native controller detection, otherwise it works great.

Quoting: ageres> For NVIDIA GPU users, you will need the latest 396.18 beta driver at a minimum.I'm not interested in installing beta drivers right now anyway. My system at least meets minimum specs otherwise. Guess I'll wait until the drivers become more stable to purchase the game. Hi ho.
I tried to install 396.18, it crashed my system, and I had to go back to 390.48. Damn Nvidia.
