I was wondering why The Last Campfire was "unsupported", it was working fine on my Deck, I played it through to completion (from a previous save). Guess I know now!
Steam Deck was the Steam top seller for the week ending April 17

What's nice about those of us that bought Steam Machines back in the day, they've greatly benefited from all of Valve's work on Proton. Now if they could just properly migrate the Deck UI, we'd be set. I bought my Alienware Steam Machine r2 a little over 5 years ago, did some minor upgrades and it works better than ever now that I can play even more of my library.

When I first started using this with GFN, I was having trouble disabling Family View with the virtual keyboard in a GFN steam session (text would pass through, but the dialog said I entered the wrong PIN), I eventually had to bind a grip button to enter the PIN for me. It might be fixed by now though

Quoting: sofakngWhy does the command-line use a window size of 1024x640 instead of 1280x800 (ie. native screen resolution) ?my guess is for text legibility, but Valve set that up, so you should ask them maybe (they scale it by 1.25 as well, 1024*1.25=1280)

Yes! Just add a new non-steam game to your library, select Google Chrome from the list like normal (this creates a second Chrome shortcut in Steam). Follow Liam's instructions then rename the shortcut and you're golden! The nice advantage to this is you can keep the original Chrome shortcut pristine.
I've been using this with GFN for about a week, it works great

Quoting: MohandevirIs it possible to install the GFN Chrome shortcut? How is it handled by the Steam Deck?
Edit: Meaning, if it was possible, I would have GFN and Stadia dedicated shortcuts (download browser app) directly in my Steam library. I would probably have a Deezer shortcut too... Is it possible?

Quoting: CybolicHa! The "Digital" keyboard even has a flicker effect!I'll have to check it out, but I'm bummed because there's a bug in that skin, it doesn't acknowledge touchscreen input for some reason on mine.
I'm just playing around with the interface on my desktop PC, but I can imagine this looking really good on the real device.

Yeah, desktop steam lists the keyboards in the left panel of the points shop, after I got one and equipped it from my laptop, the Deck was very confused - it had the old keyboard still in use, but the drop down box had no keyboard selected. I eventually had to reboot to see all the new keyboards, hi ho.
I did notice that one of the keyboards (Digital) doesn't accept touchscreen input for some reason. I didn't test them all, the others I did worked fine.

QuoteAdditionally, when you buy a new Keyboard theme, they don't show in the list until a reboot it seems but you can equip them directly from the store page

I think is/was a meme, but after playing a few tracks is say it's a decent game to get on sale. Not nearly as good a Mario Kart if you own a Switch, but it's got a good feel to it.

Quoting: constCan someone explain the Garfield Kart hype to me? Is it pure sarcasm or is this actually a good game or what is it?

Well, I obviously entered the password correctly, otherwise the branch wouldn't be listed, but it clearly isn't downloading any files for me (and for some others, based off of comments on Steam and Daniel Mullins' discord)
