I only get a black screen then it returns to desktop, steam says it's "running" and I have to terminate process to quit the game.

System is Arch linux.

It's working perfectly for me, I hope the other party packs can get a linux release too!

The Steam Winter Sale is now live

I picked up:

* Jackbox party pack 4 (has working linux build but not "supported")
* Poly bridge
* Hand of Fate 2
* Deus Ex collections
* Hollow Knight

I will probably be playing the party pack this christmas or new years party. I have 'keep talking and no on explodes' and a few other linux party games so this should be a good collection of fun this year.

QuoteIf it starts working in VR, a bit of advice; set up a table and chair in the approximate positions in game. A few too many times someone gets up after being exploded and tries to set down the controls on the VR table, and there isn't one, they've just dropped your expensive controllers on the ground!

I almost did it myself twice!

lol, very sound advice. I'm just not convinced that VR is better for a game like this, I like to switch out people so every one has a go and putting on a headset, fitting it for everyone ( adjusting, focal distance, etc ) its got to be just right or the experience isn't the best.

The rather silly and quite good 'Crashlands' is now officially on Linux

An easier option would be to set env "LD_PRELOAD=libcurl-compat.so.4.5.0" %command% as the launch option.

This should be fixed soon and I think it only affects non ubuntu users?

Oh this game is a blast, I played it last year in wine with the family for christmas, we all had a good time. I hope to play this at the new years party with some mates, it should make for some good times... also jackox 4 has a working linux build and there is a repo for jackbox 2 and 3, it would be good to have more party games.[

Looks bloody amazing.. I hope there is some good game-play this time, I love their games but they have no replay value. All art and no play make homer go something something..

Humble Bundle have some interesting deals going on for Linux gamers
2 December 2017 at 1:31 am UTC

I bought it because all the money ($35+) goes to charity, if I get some good games it's a bonus. I put some money aside each week for donations and every month give to a charity, the only thing is I have to count the conversion rate from AUD to USD so I put extra in that account and after a year I had accumulated enough extra money to buy the bundle.

So far It seems humble bundle are doing much of the same, if IGN keeps their noses out of it then is should be another good year for bundles in 2018.

Interesting games, I don't have any of them but nothing is on my wishlist or strongly interests me, but I do want to buy the bundle... If I had the money to spare.. What I need is a money tree then I could throw money at them and buy all the linux games. :P
