Great news! They recently tweeted be that "We are still doing loads of work with Vulkan, and may have some news for you soon…", so hopefully we will see it release with Vulkan support!

In Pergamon, there was an "Altar to Zeus" which was 12 meters high, and considered the "Throne of Satan". Could it be something related to Zeus?

Done, now I've bought it! I've been waiting for ARMA III for a couple of years, since a friend of mine was playing it on Windows. I went for the $20 tier, hope it's worth it!

The most insane thing is that Steam is still 32-bits and a lot of games as well. That was a hard realization when I had to build all the 32 bit libraries that they depended on when disabling STEAM_RUNTIME on Gentoo.

SteamVR beta updated to fix a radv crash and 'fixes' Vive Pro on Linux

Quoting: haagchThe SteamVR compositor runs exclusively with Vulkan (on the radv driver). If you start an OpenGL SteamVR application, it submits frames (as OpenGL ids) to the SteamVR compositor which then uses the EXT_external_objects OpenGL extension to import the frame into its own Vulkan context. Thanks, very informative walk-through!
Apparently something in radv broke recently so that didn't work anymore and it segfaulted instead. Bug report over there: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamVR-for-Linux/issues/97 [External Link]
The segfault happened in
#1 0x00007fffe827a2fe in CSharedBufferLinux::CreateVulkanBufferForExport(void*, void*, unsigned long, unsigned int, bool) ()
from /home/chris/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/SteamVR/bin/linux64/vrclient.so
which is closed source so there's not much more info to be found what actually went wrong.
Vulkan SteamVR applications were not affected, it looks like it was specifically a problem with the OpenGL interop.

OpenGL and RADV? I don't understand, RADV is pure Vulkan.

One guy from the developer studio did a presentation at GDC one or two years ago and it was really great! Truly inspirational about how they focused on making a game quickly, rolling their own tech, without over-engineering it (like most studios do).
