Quoting: liamdaweCan you give me some examples where this is a problem? Articles talking specifically about DRM-free release should not have a Steam tag on them really.I think they don't want to see anything about Steam, even if it's a DRM-free game on Steam. I don't see the point myself...

Quoting: rea987And how about view CD Key option? What's the use case for that? If the game is already in your library, the key is no longer valid.

Quoting: wintermuteI did say sales emails, but maybe I was wrong about that. It's been a long time since I last tried going Linux only on that checkbox. Still, discovery queue alone is reason enough for me to not uncheck Windows.Quoting: subThat seems to contradict what callcifer says.Callcifer didn't say anything about emails that I can see.

The thing is, if you only choose Linux you won't get Windows-only games shown to you at all in your discovery queue or sales/discount emails whereas I want to see them. Maybe I'll try with proton, or even boot to Win7 just for that game.
I want a way to signal "I'd like to see this game on Linux and I'd pay for it" without making all the Windows stuff disappear and so far Steam doesn't seem to allow that.

Quoting: riusmaI can confirm that Virginia works indeed well with Proton 3.7-8 after a quick test yesterday! It will probably be my only adventure in Proton's land but Virginia seems a game worth this little excursion outside my "will only buy native" rule. :)Virginia was definitely great. As for Proton, I'm getting more and more pragmatic as I get older. If I can play the game on Linux, I don't really care how or why it works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And the COC is, by definition, for contributors which you are not, so your "poltics" should be safe.

Quoting: devnullThis looked cool (no pun intended), untill I saw the requirements. What the? I'm not installing flatpak just for this and why on earth is there a COC.You don't have to use flatpak, it's just the developer's preferred way of distributing the app.
Nice idea but smells of poltics. NVIDIA's settings widget on the other hand is simple enough to patch.

Anyway, I'm a Patreon supporter and will remain that way for 2019. GoL is by far the best resource for Linux gaming news and discussion (/r/linux_gaming is also ok). So, Liam and the other contributors, keep doing what you've been doing :)

Quoting: Guestyeah im enjoying this website because of people who post on here. This comment reads like it was auto-generated by one of those Wordpress spam bots.
because they provide me nice information
but i don't enjoy content, why are these all these things marginalized to word content?? if i post on forums and other people too and i read lots of interesting stuff, does it mean i'm content too?? No sorry, i'm a human, not content :S.
So information and content is the same stuff?? Sorry i think these are two different words.
