Obduction Adventure Game Evaluating A Linux Port With Unreal Engine Supporting Linux
15 Apr 2014 at 5:33 pm UTC

I'm one of the backers of this project and they just sent out a survey that included a section for "Primary Computer OS", with options of "Windows", "Mac OSX", "Linux" and "No Preference". Of course I selected Linux. If you're a backer, make sure you fill out the survey and select Linux! I imagine they'll be looking at that survey while they evaluate adding Linux support.

Quoting: PKMDid anyone else notice that the Steam counter for Linux games went from 538 to 338? What's up with that?
You can find the counter by going into the Linux games tab, it just says "games".
doesnt count DLC's anymore i guess
I think that's correct. It more or less matches up with SteamDB's number now: http://steamdb.info/linux/ [External Link]

Steam Increases SteamOS Branding On Its Store

I think its good that they're together since there's no reason not to use the same game files between the two categories. If they had them separated into Linux and SteamOS as distinct categories, I bet some lazy devs would only bother adding their game to the SteamOS section even if it would work fine on Linux too.

Super Meat Boy Finally Hits Steam For Linux
6 Nov 2013 at 1:32 pm UTC

Quoting: Quote from abelthorneIt doesn't appear to be live on Linux yet: while the game is listed in the library, it doesn't install anything and gives the usual message "missing executable".
I asked Ryan Gordon about this [External Link] earlier this morning and he said it should be fixed later today.

Valve Has Announced The SteamOS Built On Linux UPDATED
23 Sep 2013 at 5:21 pm UTC

I hope they do Steam Linux to SteamOS streaming. My main gaming PC runs Steam on Arch Linux. I want to be able to build a super cheap PC to run SteamOS on and stream from Arch Linux to that. I'd love to be able to stream to something like a Raspberry Pi running SteamOS. Chomecast support would be awesome too.

I know, I'm in the beta ;)
I'm in as well, but I don't know for you guys, there is no way I can save my games. It is supposed to auto-save, but it doesn't.
I'm in the beta too and having the same problem. I emailed the developer about it, but haven't heard back yet. I'm on Arch Linux x86_64.

Also, thanks Liam for this article. I'm really looking forward to Eador.
