Absolutely loved the Metroid games growing up. This looks like a lovely love letter to the Metroid-vania genre. *Purchased*

Now this title looks really cool. I hope they don't promise, then pull, then promise, then hold (hint hint) the Linux version.

The situation of 'RUINER' coming to Linux is so very strange, developers now asking for requests

There are many factors that go into when, what, where, why, and how of software development. Like others have said, it could been do to stakeholders, project managers, deadlines, or even resources that have changed the scope of the project. However, I do have to say that if you are going to include a feature, system, or OS in the scope; and, support it all the way up until release just to pull the plug boils down to bad project management/scope.

I have had this game on my wish-list for some time now. I saw this post and instantly picked this title up ($14.99 USD). To take a large financial hit by offering a DRM-free version is something. Respect.

Not my cup of tea, but what if he ported League of Legends? That would surely appear to a mass audience that is looking to make an OS switch. If that wasn't possible I would opt for "The Witcher 3."

I would/will buy this title when the native GNU/Linux version drops.
