Well, rust has always had problems even on windows and when releasing on linux the Dev and us the consumers should at least take to mind it may not work properly being linux especially with unity. Would assume why there's is no QA on the linux version and it gets pushed out is because like many games Linux users are a minority. But they need to have everyone running the same version of the game to avoid having other problems. Probably don't see the point in pushing the release just to test the linux client.
Gary was probably referring to people, who lose their shit when their game stops working or has a bug or harasses them eternally, instead of just submitting a bug report that is not a personal hate message towards the developer of the game then waiting it out...
I never liked the game, it took so many years to figure out what it was. then it just turned into a inventory simulator with lots of grinding. Then they added in Vines that obsoleted locking editing access to walls from people that are restricted making walls pointless.
That and most people usually only play for the first couple of days after reset on most servers then servers depopulate. Don't personally see much loss in the game leaving the platform. But both users and devs could be a lot more civil to each other.

Just don't want to spend money on something then wait 5+ months for it to be got going on linux. Like say Battletech zzz.

So it looks like they added in a mini map, jumping a secondary weapon and building that's looking very much closer to fortnight. so they have pushed back release to try and clone another game pretty much.
Hey maybe everyone will get lucky and they will release the BR component of the game for free and have a monthly battle pass as well lol.

After watching most of their video's looks like, probably mainly going to be played in the map over view with the player teleporting between their owned ships when they feel like it.

Oh someone mentioned Manjaro earlier, just re-installed it. Apparently it needs some libraries that arent installed normally because they are in steam. If you install steam native in arch/manjaro it will work. Well the game will work the launcher itself works off the bat with no issues.
