Lets mention some of most shameless "Nope, not on GOG" - Tropico 5, Cities in Motion, Postal 2, Nuclear Throne, Overlord...
Unfortunately, Linux release on Steam not guarantee GOG release. I personally hope for better, but it would not be first time...

Quoting: Smoke39The game's already on GOG. Why would adding the Linux version there not be a given?Because there is tons of games missiong for some obscure reason - https://www.gog.com/mix/games_that_have_native_linux_portselsewhere [External Link]
I don't want to be too harsh -- I am thankful that we're getting a Linux version at all -- but between this and the previous inconsistent communication on Linux support, it feels like we're always pulling teeth with this dev.

Well, first and second game i series was actually nice if you know that expect. In this game all you do is click. Click, click, click. There is no actual "action", just resource gathering (by click) and performing certain "quests" by click again. For example - you need to fix bridge and you need 6 logs for that, and to get logs you need to click on trees to cut them and so on. Second game introduced certain "production chains" in which you transform a lot of resources in other forms to sell or use later and task which require huge amounts of resources to perform (like building ship) which making this game rather long and tiresome.
Also there is pixel hunting to collect hidden resources for achievement. Thats it, basically. Easy and cal casual adventure with resource management. Good to kill time but not very engaging.
While being quite simple those games is quite polished, though. Backgrounds is nice looking, overall port quality is good, no crashes and glitches.

But hey, i still recommend to try Rakuen. Some folks on GOG wish it in store and here it is, for cheap.

Quoting: morbiusHIB 19 was a complete disappointment for me. For the first time, not a single game I am seriously interested in. And I do have about 10 indie games on my Steam wishlist, but not one of them found the way into the bundle. I guess it had to average after the brilliant HIB 18.I just now noticed that its ALMOST YEAR passed since HIB18. Whoa. Ofc they sometimes put DRM-free in lesser bundles too, but its surprising they still do them at all.

They added...2 games?
No, that one good bundle, for example, every one game in 1$ tier worth alone getting this bundle, but i was expectiong more additional meat for second week...
Also, this one HIB is scarce on Soundtracks. No Rakuen OST for example.

Quoting: dubigrasuOne of the most beautiful graphics I've seen in a while, not in the Everspace spectacular way, but rather a in more Borderlands-esque style. Space ships/weapons/artifacts design for example, I can't really put a finger on it, but is really a stylish game.Putting new maps aside i really interested in that new info about Signal will bring this new campaign, cause in main campaign you get some hints only in end and never ever even close to real answer.
It indeed finished rather abruptly leaving me wanting for more, I guess my wish was granted.

And then BOOM and these pesky bandits\zealots.
As for exploration in pure form i thinks game offers little too thin amount of things to explore. There is absolutely stunning places like stone pillars fields or derelict ruins but often its just empty fields.
And yes, i seen a lot of reviews telling its just "bad FPS", so dont get it if you expect something like Half-Life.

Quoting: ziabice[Please excuse my poor english, I'm not a native speaker]Good review, right. But i think "the core of this game is the exploration" is not entirely right. Actually, core of the game is feeling of loneliness in mostly uninhabited region. When you march in desert or cross hills with nobody around on serene sunrise it quite strange yet tranquil feeling.
I liked the game, but I was disappointed by the sudden ending. It gave me the impression of an unfinished game.
What was best was the pace: the game is slow, battles can be tactical, but usually they are very fast. But the core of this game is the exploration. The game world want to tell a great story, but the developers failed to exploit all the potential they had in hands.
In the end this is the typical game that gets a 7/10. Don't buy it if you expect a pure FPS with frantic combat. Buy if you liked the first Far Cry.
