I've just had an update of Steam Play and it wiped my Dark Souls III save...
Thankfully, I had just started so it wasn't a big deal, but now I'm making manual backups when I stop session.
Such a thing really shouldn't happen.
Also @liamdawe it would be good if you could add sources to the articles where you got some information from. It's the proper journalism thing to do ;)

I did that once, and DF was great back then, but nowadays I have 0 desire to play a game like that without proper mouse support.

Quoting: WorMzyIs Dwarf Fortress playable by now or does it still require you to memorize keyboard shortcuts like you would a foreign language?Quoting: GuestJust a heads up if you are on the fence about buying the game, it will cost more after releaseThat's a pity, I was hoping there might be a launch day sale. Oh well, congrats to the developer, but I'll stick with Dwarf Fortress. I can't justify paying £25 on a slimmed down version of a game I can play for free.

Is it better than that failed DoubleFine experiment, Gang Beasts?
Tried playing that with a few friends and we gave up after not even half an hour, with the terrible net code, horrible movement and just not fun gameplay driving us away.

Niffelheim, a dark survival RPG released recently with Linux support

The Telltale games come to mind, or walking simulators, etc.
Niffelheim certainly isn't "interesting", other than for discovering new art & monsters.
If you look at the general reviews, they all pretty much say the same, I'd pick this Steam review [External Link] for the shortest gist:
The game's a grinder - albeit a short one, I think finishable in under 20 hours. You (literally) mine and grind and grind and mine - and even the combat is just keeping a button pressed.
Usually, I loathe that, but this game for some reason relaxes me - could be the art.

Quoting: liamdaweGames don't need to be difficult to be interesting thoughOnly those games that are heavily story focused manage to be interesting despite offering no challenge.

Awesome chill out game, which is funny given you are a gritty viking in the land of death. It really is a game to play to relax, not to be told a story or overcome some challenge.

Yep, I'm playing the game, too and I would recommend it if you're looking for a laid back zen-like experience with some really nice art. I find it really relaxing, one of the few games that almost gets me in a trance of a kind.
But if you're looking for a challenge of any kind, don't.
I have no idea if this was intentionally designed to be so easy or not, so I couldn't even rate it (I think games should be rated based on what they want to achieve).

But the best would have to go to Dungeon Warfare I and II (latter is not natively on linux, but runs fine via Steam Play). No other TD game reaches that level of depth and possibility, especially of the second part with its leveling up mechanics.
