Godot Engine 3.1 will have support for simplex noise generation which looks incredibly useful

Oh yeah, simplex noise is useful for a ton of things.
I'm waiting for the actual 3.1 release (or at least RCs) to continue with my little testing projects.

500 key?! Will there even be enough of us for that who actually like BR games?

BlockShip Wars: Roguelike is another game to let you build and battle with your own spaceship, now on Linux

That ship building reminds me a lot of Space Pirates And Zombies (which is a fun game), and... do they even use the same font?!

Valve have now pushed out all the recent beta changes in Steam Play's Proton to everyone

Quoting: Cyba.Cowboy
Quoting: GustyGhost
Quoting: elmapulthey should add an icon to compatible games...
but i'm not sure if the steamOS icon is the right icon to use.
Tux should be brought back for Linux compatible games while Steamplay icon remains for translation layer games.
That's actually not a bad idea... The "Tux" icon for native Linux titles, and the "SteamOS/Steam Machine icon for titles which "just work" via Steamplay.

I don't see it happening that way, but I think it's a great idea that Valve Software should implement...
I agree, that would be a great idea.
However, I also don't quite see it coming that way.

Another icon for Steam Play/Proton should definitely happen, though, (in whatever form) it would just be helpful.

When I try the installer on Ubuntu 18.04, I get this:
2018/09/12 10:12:51 App name specified at build time: itch
2018/09/12 10:12:51 Locale:  C
panic: runtime error: slice bounds out of range

goroutine 1 [running]:
main.main()
/builds/itchio/itch-setup/src/github.com/itchio/itch-setup/main.go:129 +0x109d

Doesn't really inspire trust ;)
Wish they just had a .deb package.

On the other hand, my issue [External Link] got acknowledged in minutes. Not bad.

Edit:
And not even two hours later, it is already fixed. Not bad, at all.

Europa Universalis IV: Dharma is now available, some thoughts

Damn it.
Everytime someone mentions EUIV, I am downloading it...

Might even try the vanilla experience. A few years ago, it was just boring in comparison with mods like VeF or MEIOU&Taxes.
But by now there have been so many DLCs, it might be worth another look.

Adapt or Perish, an upcoming open-world RTS lets you customise all your units and buildings

I always liked games by phr00t, they are really unique.
Not sure if this one is for me (I prefer RTS games with a more "real" world, while this one seems very much just "many random metal tiles" ), but I'll give it try nonetheless when it is released.
