Quoting: OG SWAT RV@LinuxI have manny 100 of houres in Starcitizen, using Lutris.

I followed this link for installing, and performance tweaks: https://github.com/starcitizen-lug/knowledge-base/wiki

There is also a Linux user group in the spectrum : https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/LUG

Same and that LUG is really friendly. Their Matrix and Discord channels are bridged.

Quoting: LoganBookerIt looks like GNOME expects an application to respond to a ping event periodically, I always assumed the "Application is not responding" message showed up when an application was too busy with something else to check it's event loop.
Happens for almost any "native" game for a decade -_-

Game is busy loading assets so I guess it's main loop is stalled.

Doesn't happen so much with e.g. Proton probably because it's not really the game itself that opened the window.

Played that a lot back in the days. That always felt complete. Very good clone that I enjoyed a lot.

Quoting: slaapliedjeThe real beauty is you can flip back and forth between the three with the same pilot.
Oh my… I got news for you. That is no longer the case. The pilot profile was just split between live and solo. Same for power games.

I really wondered why someone would run KeePassXC via Wine when there is a native version but I guess it makes sense if it's used in combination with a Windows program in the same environment|bottle 🤔

Quoting: MacPoedelI don't agree with this dogma that all pc games should work with mouse and keyboard. Especially for flight games, mouse and keyboard lack degrees of freedom to properly control a plane or spacecraft.

I generally agree. In this particular case tho… RGO does only support a gamepad (singular!) so that is really half-**** support for anything else _beside_ KBM. So in this very particular case the critics on controls are very legit no matter what type of input is used. For me the joy only started when I managed to bind my X52 into that game via external tools.

Hey @anewson - utter space pew pew nerd here I like that game a lot _and_ I play it on my X52 Pro

Got it on GoG so there is no Steam Input in that. It's a wild mix of virtual Gamepad (with MoltenGamepad) and AntimicroX to act as keyboard input. Works like a charm tho
