The Swords of Ditto is a much better and more interesting game with Mormo's Curse

Quoting: bacattaI got it in the last humble bundle and can't run it natively. Only with Proton, and i'm not alone: https://steamcommunity.com/app/619780/discussions/0/1628538005520458693/ [External Link]
Interesting. Does the libsteam_api.so exist in the game's folder anywhere?
Alright, fixed it.
The file does exist in the game directory. There is no steam_appid.txt tho, but adding one with the correct appid and preloading libsteam_api.so makes it launch properly from the terminal. Preloading path in the Steam client works.

So:
1. Create the file steam_appid.txt in the game directory, edit to add the appid 619780

2. Add launch options to the game properties in Steam client: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. %command%

Yep, an amalgamation of the Gasmask zombie and the Demolisher. A nice touch to keep it. :)

Tested Native version now, still experience the same problems with Drop Attacks when using bladed weapons. Blunt weapons work fine. Mouse felt like it was lagging, similar to mouse smoothing or vsync lag, but those were disabled. It segfaulted when I attempted to track the Community Event.

Otherwise it ran well, lower fps than with Proton but not horrible actually. I'd say about 20% lower with native version but was still rather smooth.

Oh shit, they may have actually listened to my whining last year? Amazing!
I loved the original Train Valley and felt absolutely betrayed by the sequel. This one is for me. <3

They are blueprints that you apply to an existing base weapon, both weapons and materials can be found as world loot and in some cases bought from vendors. They are essentially skins.

When I played through DL the first time, I used the native version with Nvidia. The drop attack issues basically meant you couldn't really use them, unless you wielded a blunt weapon.
Will be interesting to try the native version again.

Did they fix drop attacks?! I hope you tried with bladed weapons? It always worked fine with blunt weapons.

Testing the Gioteck WX-4 Wireless gamepad on Linux, pretty good for the price

I have bought a bunch of F710's over the years. They do the job admirably IMHO. One small niggle is that the triggers are a bit too stiff, but that is easy to mod. Open it up and replace the springs with softer ones from ball point pens, done.

I consider them to have good build quality as I have yet to see a single one of them break or wear out. Perhaps I just haven't gamed enough hours on one so far. Personally I prefer the D-pad to be placed above the left thumbstick, so with native support in Steam and great battery life, I say it's a perfectly capable gamepad.
I got most of mine on sales so the full price might be a bit salty.

No reason to get one though if you already have a good controller from a console.

Perhaps the problem isn't specific to sid? It works on my Siduction box.
Well... I say 'works', it's still a bit shit to be honest but it's at least somewhat functional.
