Quoting: GuestWhy do they keep making videos with impossible to understand voices and no subtitles? It just sucks.
My name is Orson, last of my kind and banished by the Paladins.
The arrogance of their infallibility led to the destruction of my inept cage.
I am a Necromancer, a re-animator of the dead.
Now I will command my undead minions into battle, until the living are no more.
I will raid their villages and plunder their treasures.
I will take down even their most powerful servants and join them into my undead army.
Village by village, castle by castle - we shall conquer.
We shall take back what once was ours.
I will do all this, and restore the lost glory of the undead.
The world will be ours again.

BattlEye now say they're working with Valve to support Steam Play

It could also mean that some proprietary bits from BattleEye/EAC might be added to Proton in order to make it work with games using these anti cheat systems.
Sounds far-fetched? What if it's that - or nothing... :S:

Yep, installed native now and it works correctly. Excellent performance, ultrawide support. Could not bind mouse button 4 (thumb) for some reason.

Easy Anti-Cheat is actually still supported for Linux, a statement from Epic Games

When the Reddit post appeared in the GoL Discord...

Quoting: dpantereh, gonna need a proper source tbh, not just angry ranting on reddit
and

Quoting: dpanterall we have to go on is an angry dev's comment on reddit. <shrug emoji> (or whatever that garry guy is)
maybe not panic just yet
Aaaaand then there was panic. We should know better by now, really. :(

IMHO; Liam did the right thing by reporting something that could potentially have a dramatic impact on the future of Linux gaming. The actual sources have responded to his request for clarification and we can now remove our tinfoil hats and return to sanity.

At least until the next imaginary reason for panic emerges. :dizzy:

Hmm, very strange audio on the YT video.
Can't complain about the content tho, despite the somewhat worrying news over the last few days. :S:

Quoting: ThreeEightySixI'll avoid wishlisting it, and I recommend everyone do as well, until it's a valid Linux platform. Otherwise, the way I understand it, if you wishlist a Windows game it affects Steam's analytics. Represent!
No, this is incorrect.

Set your Steam platform preference to Linux and games will count as Linux wishlistings!

Should have gone with EGS and sold 150 million copies. I think that's how it works?
