I only play with bots, but the games are much faster now, which is good imo.

So, thanks to this bug -- https://forum.lastepochgame.com/t/couldnt-connect-to-the-server-on-some-unsupported-linux-distros/15512/8 [External Link] -- this is sitting in a folder called "unplayable". They, of course, have not bothered to respond in any meaningful way, but its good to see that at least some people on linux can play it.

Quoting: GuestAh yes Dota....its a good game. Till you get some trolls who Teleport you onto a rock where you cant get down from. Yeah....fun times.
Oh jeez, I remember someone doing that to me every single time they saw me and they were on my team. Some people really are just out to piss others off online thinking they're funny.
Exactly. And you wanna know the best part? He said i need to beg him if i ever want off that rock. Needless to say even if i would beg a few minutes later he would drop me on that rock again. Yeah what a great time that was...
I have thankfully stopped playing the game. (Wish me luck, because it really does seem like an addiction.) Having said that, maybe you should buy a teleport scroll?

EDIT: If it is a teammate doing this, there used to be an option to "disable help" or something like that. This would make it impossible for them to do this. I assume it is still there, but not sure where to find it.

Slay the Spire's fourth character is available for Beta testing

"However if you've already beaten it and have the third character this new one should auto unlock."

Actually, that's only true if you were already in the beta. I have beaten the game on all three characters up through level 19, but when I switched to beta, it forced me to create a new profile. So, starting from scratch. I decided I'll just wait, lol.

On the other hand, I finally realized what those three little carrot things are for, so I have something else to work towards.

Steam Play arrived on Linux one year ago, some thoughts
20 Aug 2019 at 10:41 pm UTC

Is there a list, or perhaps people can suggest here, of NEW, GOOD AAA windows titles that are platinum on proton? I know about the protondb thing, but to me it seems more appropriate to search for a specific game and see if it works. Perhaps I am looking at it wrong with my old man eyes....

So I see a Driving Force GT for a decent price used. I'm not really a racing fanatic, but it seems like this could be cool, and I do have a few racing sims that I could dust off. Are these things worth it? Do they work well with steam? Do they work well with steam LINK?

I get the impression that it will see a linux release sometime AFTER the 75% off sale...

Quoting: DuncSo in the last few years, we've had ... Phoenix Point (which is really X-Com), System Shock....
Wait, I was unaware that we have either one of these games. What am I missing? Heck, I'm still "waiting" for Into The Breach!

Unique racing game 'Vector 36' adds online multiplayer in the latest update and a free weekend

Haha, looks interesting. Oh wait, I have it, but have only played 16 minutes... Oh, yeah, I remember. IDk, maybe i'm really bad at racing games, but I could not really get the hang of it. Admittedly, 16 minutes is not much of a chance, but I find that the older I get, the less patience I have for stuff. That was 16 minutes of my 45 minutes of freetime one day.
