We will have Vr on Linux for a damn time this will end up being a delay. I think that if we google vr daydream of (open source) we could have something interesting. Although I still think that the devices that use the linux kernel the device says or has some linux logo! At least if they use android, they should be given a minimum of publicity.

This year I resigned myself to buying a vr viewer not only because we are discriminated against in Latin America for not wanting to sell ourselves. So I decided to improve the pc and buy a r9 3900.
The worst thing is that htc is undefined as the titanic and they do not want to make a minimum effort to put the cosmos on Linux at least they would have a good niche that is willing to buy and that's what they need to know that there are linux users willing to buy just like pimax in the forums ask about linux constantly. Not only with this of the viewers but also nvidia and amd are guilty of drivers of ....- You know!

What makes me angry about valve is that it is not available worldwide. I want to buy one in my country but it doesn't arrive or there isn't one.

Quoting: EhvisI see that many users have to ask a company to develop a solution. It would be good to criticize nvidia and use twitter but en masse. The problem is that each one in linux goes to its own ball.Quoting: GuestImagine spending 1000$ on a device that doesn't work very well on Linux because nvidia don't give us support while we spent 500$ or more for a GTX10xx. That's the point, nvidia pls.So he needs to inform us twice that he didn't pay attention before spending $1000?
Also, I'm running on Nvidia and while it has specific issues with reprojection, it can still be made to work reasonable well. It takes a bit of research and configuration, but nothing that hasn't been know for a year.
Seems Valve do intend to go back to SteamOS at some point

I'm willing to give up ubuntu for steamOs if an economic vr comes along with titles. It's time!

The problem is that htc lives told me that htc cosmos of moments have no compatibility with linux.

Also from what I understand cosmo is only compatible with w10.
The problem is that we were left out of vr linux.

Quoting: ZeloxThe problem is with linux we barely have scopes and no competition. At the time I was hoping that dell would pass his vr to linux but it was nil.Quoting: cusa123I would love to try the vr but it is impossible with a single viewer htc vive pro or valve index too expensive.Give it a while longer, they will get cheaper. More and more "budget" headset will arrive.
And maybe valve will sell of there index or make a cheaper version, vr are still a new cool thing.
And The vive cosmos just got a cheaper headset called vive cosmos play, and its alot cheaper then the original cosmos.
Also from what I understand cosmo is only compatible with w10.

I would love to try the vr but it is impossible with a single viewer htc vive pro or valve index too expensive. I know that openhmd is doing what it can but without a compatible and cheaper viewfinder I find it difficult. Worst of all, they make fun of the vr that are few and recently overtaken us in steam. What is left for us. I'm still waiting for cdproyect to come out and say cyberpunk for linux "no stadia".
