Putting games across multiple stores is not easy, as developers keep noting recently

Very interesting overview of problems about which many have no insight, unless they are developers. Indeed, stores should work on improving their tools, after all it's in their interest to have more developers using them.

Also, good insight into the issue of Linux GOG builds. I suppose the fact that their Galaxy infrastructure ignores Linux completely now, causes the lack of upload API as well.

Still waiting for promised Wayland support. May be Wine developers will work on it this cycle.

Quoting: razing32Don't AGS games run like crap on linux ? Or am I wrong ?
That's mostly due to using very old Allegro, which doesn't work so well and has many usability bugs (mouse acceleration issues, inability to minimize and so on).

Quoting: tuubiAnother AGS veteran going commercial, if I'm not mistaken. Wishlisted.
I wish AGS would migrate to SDL2 already. Their Allegro backend is seriously messed up.

Quite interesting. They list DRM-free download in the Kickstarter campaign. Do they plan to release it on GOG or itch.io?

Rocket League can now be played online across Steam and all major consoles

Quoting: GrifterI obviously can't say when you last tried that, only you can, but I can tell you that it is definitely possible to launch rocket league without having steam running and has been for quite some time; you don't get access to anything that requires a login to their servers, but you can still use free practice or play against bots, etc. I'm no expert on DRM, but I believe that means it doesn't actually have any DRM.
If they aren't using their own authentication and rely on Steam account for multiplayer, I'd call it a lock-in, not DRM necessarily.

Quoting: qptain Nemothey'd have to implement a bunch of networking stuff for GOG specifically, the stuff that concerns player accounts and such. And push all updates to a whole other platform.
I assume their network code is already portable and usable cross store, since they implemented it for Seam, Xbox, PlayStation and so on. It means they shouldn't be tying that to any specific lock-in like Steamworks and etc.
