Quoting: PublicNuisanceI fired up my GOG copy (version 1.30) to see and had no issues.
Good to know that it's working at least in some cases. It keeps hanging for me on Debian testing.

Just the checked Beyond Blue site - it's fancy, I like the interactive visuals where you can change the camera view :) I hope they'll release the game on GOG too.

Quoting: Julius@Shmerl: As a backer I somewhat recently got an email about some Aquanox multiplayer test or so if I recall correctly. Taking much longer than expected I guess but still on track?
But they didn't include Linux in the campaign goals, so I assume it's not going to come out at release time? Did they mention anything about further plans?

What's the story with Aquanox Deep Descent by the way? They said in the past, that Linux version is a possibility.

Does anyone experience a hang on startup in the GOG version?

See https://www.gog.com/forum/the_long_dark/audio_errors_on_linux [External Link]

It's quite annoying and basically makes it unplayable.

winepak, a project to get Windows games packaged with Wine & Flatpak for an easy Linux installation

As long as you can install and use it, you don't really need anyone to manage it. The main resource here is bug fixing and features development in Wine itself, which so far Wine developers are addressing well.

I'd like Surviving Mars.

Air DOS

Everybody pushes the airplane until it glides, then they jump on and let the plane coast until it hits the ground again. Then they push again, jump on again, and so on…

MacOS Airlines

All the stewards, captains, baggage handlers, and ticket agents look and act exactly the same. Every time you ask questions about details, you are gently but firmly told that you don’t need to know, don’t want to know, and everything will be done for you without your ever having to know, so just shut up.

Windows Air

The terminal is pretty and colorful, with friendly stewards, easy baggage check and boarding, and a smooth take-off. After about 10 minutes in the air, the plane explodes with no warning whatsoever.

Linux Airways

Everyone brings one piece of the plane along when they come to the airport. They all go out on the runway and put the plane together piece by piece, arguing non-stop about what kind of plane they are supposed to be building.

Quoting: STiATI don't really see the benefit over using different prefixes with installer-scripts (except that installer scripts in lutris seem somehow a unmaintained mess).
The only differentiating factor in Flatpak is sandboxing. Other than that, sure you can do the same thing with prefix management and custom Wine bundles.

And yes, installer scripts tend to become an unmaintained mess, because of the sheer volume of games that are out there. That's why I simply stopped using them in the past and prefer to install things in Wine myself.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI have Bioshock DRMFREE from Humble, How to WINepak it?
Well, that's the point. If it's not already winepaked, why do you need to winepak it? Just install it in regular fresh Wine prefix, it will take less time for you.

Quoting: cprnWait... Are they going to offer this to developers for purpose of Steam distribution? If so, sounds interesting. If not, I don't get it. How are they going to distribute Flatpaks of copyrighted titles?
They don't distribute titles, they just offer bundles where something is installed from a known isntaller that you provide. Same idea as PlayOnLinux scripts I suppose, except in Flatpak.
