Quoting: tuubiSome already might. Rust can remove a lot of pains that exist in C++ despite all the latest advancement in the language. The only thing that can slow down such adoption would be middleware. Tons of stuff exists in C++ for gaming engines to use, and so far there is no interop with Rust (or with any other language for that matter really). Libraries in C are better in this sense - you can use them from Rust. SDL is a good example.Quoting: ShmerlVulkano is easier to use than raw Vulkan: https://github.com/tomaka/vulkano [External Link]Yeah, but I don't think game devs will switch to Rust just to use it. Anyway, the more the better. There's never a single approach that works best for everybody.

Sounds good. We need more middleware like that.

Well, turn it off you can. But it sounds close to minimum requirements.

Quoting: buenaventuraGranted, my hardware is not particularly good (laptop with quad core 2.4ghz, 8gb RAM), this is my GPU:Witcher 2 is pretty demanding. So no surprise it doesn't perform well on your GPU. You surely need to upgrade.

It's GCN 1.1 I hear, but clearly not very good (1GB VRAM it says on the sticker).

I suppose Valve intend to support Mesa officially, not sure why they wouldn't want to, especially when hiring developers to work on it.

Quoting: CreakOn the other hand, only Nvidia and Ubuntu are officially supported. And that's nonsense. Developers should support Mesa officially.

May be we should also make a wiki page with (32-bit) games affected by large XFS partition (aka broken LFS) bug?

Quoting: jsa1983Any chance offending games may be reported through other channels other than tweeter?Add them to the wiki, they can keep track of it.
Quoting: boltronicsDid Shadow Warrior have a mouse cursor rendering bug under Mesa? Or was that just the proprietary drivers? Can't remember - would have to check. It works fine with radeonsi / Mesa 13.0.2.
