AMD will be hosting a reddit 'ask me anything' and giving away 14 RX 480 graphics cards

@Creak: As I said above, solution for delayed kernels is using dkms module. Linux supports it for a long time already. The problem is - if there is no ready dkms package for amdgpu, creating one yourself is a tedious task. AMD are using something like that in their ADMDGPU-PRO package for closed OpenGL, but I'd prefer a standalone dkms package that can be combined with messa package and the rest of the open stack.

Nice. I'll try to participate. Currently Mesa and amgdpu seem to be not ready for RX 480 support in Debian testing. I wonder if they'll get in shape soon. Building mesa from source or figuring out how to make dkms module for amdgpu might be fun, but it's not something I particularly want to spend time on and would prefer a ready solution for it.

Two questions. Is it coming to GOG, and will it also have no support after release?

We Happy Few, an action/adventure game set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city will hit Linux in Early Access

Correction from Compulsion Games [External Link]:

That was a miscommunication on our part. Linux and Mac won't be ready during Early Access (it IS possible but we don't want to promise anything we are not 100% sure of), sorry about that.

Two Worlds Epic Edition openworld action RPG now on Linux, uses Wine

@Nel: Yeah, I got to the point where everything except for cutscenes worked. So I'm curious how GOG release configured it. I'll try it out.

@Nel: Yep, that didn't help. It had an error like this:

err:msvideo:ICLocate Required media codec 'vidc WVC1' not found!

Using this POL script [External Link] as a guide, I also got http://www-pc.uni-regensburg.de/systemsw/WinMedia/wvc1dmo.exe [External Link] and registered wvc1dmod.dll, but it didn't help in my case.

Quoting: coryrj19951Just so everyone knows, the Linux version was just added on GOG today.
Yeah, I just saw that. How exactly is it configured? I recently tried to install it in Wine myself, and it had all kind of issues with missing codec so it couldn't play cutscenes.

VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action released for Linux, some thoughts

Did it feel similar to Papers, Please for you? At least externally it appears so (I didn't buy this game yet. I too already bought a bunch of stuff on GOG sale).

Looks like Unity bug. See more details here: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/failed-to-get-number-of-drivers.377026/ [External Link]

Fix should be in the future versions of Unity, but as workaround make sure you either have PulseAudio installed in full, or you don't have any trace of it.
