Awesome progress. The pace of the development of this piece of software is impressive.
Will this be integrated into wine directly like vkd3d?
I guess there is still a risk getting banned when using dxvk in multiplayer games as it replaces some dlls? That's the reason why I haven't tried it yet myself. Would love to try Elite: Dangerous with this on Linux, but I don't want to risk my account.
edit: a note about the nVidia driver 396.24.02, it causes white screens with Unreal Engine 4 games, e.g. with Everspace or RUINER. see here [External Link]

Awesome, the first game is already so much fun to play (e.g. destroying friendships or making your home sound like a restaurant with high traffic to your neighbours :D), so I'm very happy to see this one coming to Linux. A must buy for me.
We Happy Few delayed again until 'Summer 2018', refunds will be possible

Did I get this right? Microsoft bought the studio? If now the Linux version will still happen?
I‘m afraid they won‘t let them...

Yeah, my first experiences with Indiegogo and it went bad. Entered my credit card info and pushed the button... and it says error, but I can see the payment as being processed on my bank account. Nice.
Haven't had any issues at all with Kickstarter so far, I hope Indiegogo support will solve this. Grml.

As they state on this Steam forums discussion [External Link], it will also be released on Steam (hey, it's "Steam" Marines, so it must be on Steam, mustn't it? :)). And they say the price will increase over time starting at $25.
So, does anyone know what happens, when I buy it now on itch? Will I get a Steam key later? Maybe it's already mentioned somewhere and I just didn't find it yet.

Woah!
I doubt this would ever get official support, but if this becomes stable enough for the normal Linux geek to use... it would be a very interesting option. Did they say something about support for the motion controllers? The Vive tracking will be still the best tracking out there, but as also Windows Mixed Reality's inside-out tracking seems good enough (even though not as accurate as the Vive tracking), it would really be an interesting alternative for people wanting to experience VR on Linux.
Cool!
edit: just curious... would it also be possible to use PS4VR on other operating systems this way? So would it be interesting for people who own a PS4 already, but no HMD yet, to buy it and use it on console and PC (all OS'es)?

Easy to learn, hard to master...
It's also a great game for jumping in for just a few minutes, drive an arcade race or any other single track.
So you don't get too frustrated when the amount of other cars increased in the last track and you bumped into each one of them. Or you bumped too much in the green bushes which are rock solid :D
Also looks like a controller is a must have, haven't tried it with a keyboard yet, but as I read on the steam recommendations, some people want to play it with a keyboard but can't.
But yeah, as soon as you manage to get into the drifting flow you can start enjoying the great scenery, skylines and backgrounds as well as the cool soundtrack.

Ah, that's where this tweet [External Link] comes from.
I was wondering, because I didn't see any Linux related depot.
Now I see they have added Linux [External Link] to the os list.
I love twin stick shooters, Assault Android Cactus and Ruiner are great games of this kind and showed me how good this type of gameplay can be.

As a backer I'm lucky to be able to play it already... and it took me some time to get into it. Of course I didn't play the tutorial, pah, how hard could it be to drive a car in a game? A game, which of its kind I played a lot in my young years? Like Rad Racer on the NES oder Lotus Turbo Challenge on DOS?
Well, after I figured out how to drift, it got better. But it's still hard to beat the rival you race against each track. And then I tried the tutorial, but it didn't tell me anything new then any more :)
It's very cool to see that this game was made 100% on Linux. And I like most its pixel style (you can choose between different styles on the menu, e.g. CRT style etc.). After finishing a stage, you can choose between two stages just by taking the corresponding turning. And the art style is pretty cool, here come good memories up from the other vintage racing games.
Nice to see a local coop mode coming, looking forward to that!
