IMO, Valve is doing great job for Linux gaming (not denying other community/developers/companies contribution either). But! it is doesn't mean that Valve (or any companies) gets free pass to do something silly like this that undermined Linux or any gaming community as whole.

In 2017, I love the fact increasing number of developers (especially indie devs) starting/already taking seriously about Linux gaming such as seeking beta tester, listen to problems or bug, taking action to fixing it (that varies) and etc. So, let's be positive people. For me, Linux in general and gaming especially will have bright future as long as the community working together.

I hope that in 2018 more games especially racing games will release on Linux. For my own New Year's resolution I hope that I can reduce my dependency on Big Tech.

Please, take as many your time to porting the MXGP3 perfectly. I'll wait as long as possible (but please not too long). As motorcycle commuter and big fan of motorcycle racing (any types) and also Linux gamer I am totally hyped about motorcycle games coming to Linux.

Simple, generally people hate change(s). I know some businesses such as camera/photofinishing shop and public service still using Windows XP either original or pirated version. My former workplace (quits because wanna help my friend's business) last year only just migrated to Win 7. So, do the math when they will upgrade to Win 10 :D.

Another thing (again) is the ever growing (and confusing models) of smartphone. For social media/general internet usage, smartphone is good enough for average people. Hell, few days ago when I got parcel from Pos Laju, the postman ask me to sign on his company's smartphone. Before then, it just good ol' paper & pen.

But, on gaming perspective, Windows 10 (no idea whether pirate or original) is on the rise because of very obvious reason (new CPU no longer support Win 7).

On Malaysian Linux community, I've never found one that always active. Before I found Gaming on Linux, I always watched Penguin Recording's videos (he's Malaysian) on YouTube before he goes MIA. That's why I'm here, which is also improve my rusty and terrible English :P.

I don't know about China. Here in Malaysia, PUBG is the hottest PC game right now. Still, mobile phones and/or free-to-win games still the biggest thing in Malaysia.
The reason why Windows 7 is popular in Asia mainly because of piracy. Before then, Windows XP was popular one to pirate.

Sorry people. I have some doubts about this Ataribox. The best way for Atari to show they’re serious is porting and optimizing some of their modern games such as RollerCoaster Tycoon or Test Drive Unlimited 2 (Test Drive series now owned by BigBen Interactive) to Linux first.

Let’s hope it will be success. Right now, just wait and see.
