Glad I stopped buying Windows games in advance of ports a long time ago, because I probably would have been burned on this one.

Ditto.

Rust has now sold over 30 thousand copies on Linux

Quoting: MblackwellI had thought about buying it at some point in the future until he made a lot of anti-Linux statements. I'm sure there are a lot of other Linux users of a similar mindset.
Yep. I took it off of my second-class wishlist the instant it was clear what he really thought of us. I am actually surprised the sales are as high as they are, considering that they were only at 8K at the time he started talking shit about us.

Game Pencil Engine has plans to support Linux and get on Steam

The more engines that support Linux and are on Steam, the better! Still a Godot fan, and probably always will be, though. Open-source FTW.

Quoting: melkemind@liamdawe Did you play the original Forced, and did you like it? I'm asking because I didn't really care for it, so I'm wondering if this game is similar or might be something I'd prefer.
I know you asked Liam, but I just want to say that I didn't care for the first Forced game all that much. But I do like playing card games and action or hack'n slash sort of games. Forced Showdown is a mix of all that, and is very enjoyable if you like all those things.
Another that comes to mind based on your description is Hand of Fate, in case you haven't got it yet. I dig it.

Major new version of the open source itch store application
2 Jul 2016 at 1:26 am UTC

Itch.io has been excellent and they don't restrict who can put what games on their platform, which immediately makes them a cut above the rest. As an indie game developer (with no delusions of grandeur - it's just a hobby), I rather prefer Itch.io's entire offering the best. They give a rather equal platform to everyone.

GOG's entire history of Linux "support" has been lackluster, to say the least. I'll be surprised if we see Galaxy in any kind of usable state within the next year, year and a half.

Apparently desktop Linux marketshare has finally hit that elusive 2% mark

Differentiating Android from what we call "Linux" meaning desktop OSes is "splitting hairs", yet "it's Windows, not PC!" is constantly argued here and everywhere without any kind of similar reprimand? That's odd, since the case against Android is stronger.

Mighty No. 9 looks like it's gearing up for a Linux release

So it has the SteamOS icon on the Steam store page, but the actual Linux version is not even available yet? Wow. They can't get anything right, can they?

Anima Gate of Memories, the good looking third person action RPG should be on Linux soon

Excellent! The wait is almost over.

This one is an insta-buy for me, since it reminds me of the NIER and Drakengard games.

PAC-MAN 256, a surprise Steam release with day-1 Linux support

Bought because Pac-Man / Bandai Namco / Linux. Runs great, plays well, looks way better than old Pac-Man.
