This was the oldest game on my wishlist, by like a year or more (second oldest - now oldest - is Ghost Song, and then Eitr). Bought it instantly at the midnight launch. I've put in a few hours, explored about 35% so far, and I must say, I'm really impressed with it. I feel it was worth the wait and asking price. I don't know where I'd rank it against Axiom Verge, as they're pretty different games overall, but share some of the same DNA, and it's that share DNA that I love.

I hated Drakkhen on SNES... the first time I played it.
Once I read the manual and actually tried to understand it, I wound up loving it. I still remember the funky disco-type music that would play when you hit a warp spot on the map. I don't know if I'm up to playing it again these days, but back then, it was good. And hell, I played it on a black and white TV!
Drakkhen's sequel Dragon View was even better, though. I'd buy that if it came to Linux.

Insta-backed this a bit ago; just been waiting for the Linux alpha before deciding if I'll up my pledge or not.

The whole gimmick is stolen from Hidden in Plain Sight, and the point is to blend in. In any case, this seems like a competitive game only, to me. What is the point of the co-op mode? Couldn't you just figure out where you are on the screen, and then tell the other player(s) so they don't kill you? Not seeing the point of co-op...

Quoting: slaapliedjeHa, there is thebug for me whereit picksa seemingly random monitor, then I launch a game which goes to a different monitor, then when i exit the game, BPM is minimized with Gnome popping up a "Steam is Ready" notification up top.I don't know about the different monitor thing, as I only use one TV, but BPM being minimized in GNOME after exiting a game is a problem I had and I found a fix: https://github.com/tak0kada/gnome-shell-extension-stealmyfocus.git [External Link]

I was using the stable client, tried this beta out and noticed Spec Ops: The Line would error on launch. Went back to stable so I can finish the game. Not sure what that's about.

There's no need to miss out on the first one. Just go and grab it, too. They're both excellent and this is a continuation of the first, so it just makes sense.

It was pretty fantastic back in late 2015 and early 2016. I imagine it's even better now that it's finally out of early access... I bet a lot has improved in the year+ since I played.
78.6 hrs on recordNot sure I need to play this anymore, though... lol

The only problem I had with SteamWorld Dig was that it wasn't long enough. This sequel will give me more of what I loved, so I'm happy about that! Just gotta find the time to play it (I have been neglecting digital games for the last 18 months or so).

Loved the first one, had no idea there was a #2 in the works! And I completely forgot that Ittle Dew 2 came out and I bought it... Been a bit out of digital gaming lately. I should find the time to get back to this.
